Best colored flood light I’ve tried.
This Westinghouse bulb has the best color and l brightness output I have tested for holiday decorating outside. I previously bought some Phillips led PAR38 bulbs. These were made of glass and are built well, however the light color was almost pink on the Phillips bulb. This Westinghouse bulb is a true rich red. I also bought numerous off brands which had quality issues related to material quality, light color, light brightness and heat dispersion. Hands down this Westinghouse bulb is likely the best colored floodlight on the market. I highly recommend the green version as well. I’m sure their blue is great, but I haven’t tried that color since I’m using red and green for a traditional Christmas display. I will note: I bought this light a few weeks ago (nov22) and it is now almost doubled in price by mid December. I’m not sure what is going on with the pricing strategy from Amazon, but I originally paid about $11 per bulb and that is now over $20 per bulb. These are the price on the ships and sold from Amazon. Seems pretty overpriced at this point. The same version of this bulb in green is now selling for about $15 per bulb. I spent about $10 when originally buying those. It’s much more than inflation adjustment here. No comparable bulb is selling for $20. Not even the Phillips brand which is all glass. I recently purchased the Phillips red and green Par38 lights from Home Depot for $12 each. I was going to purchase more of these but will wait until the price comes back down to a more reasonable level. I would not pay over $14 for this bulb.

$1200 vs $11 red light therapy
I read up on red light therapy. There are tons of fancy red light devices that cost literally hundreds or thousands of dollars. Red light is red light, I'm sure there are a few differences, but I don't think it matters much and I've read a few research papers on it. There is no way to know which wavelength of light this used, most research is on the 660-680nm - since it's a red light we know it's in the ball park of 620 - 750 - and I have to say this one is a deep and pure red. I have used heat lamps that are more orangy but this is RED. I use it every day for probably an hour. Everyone thinks I'm younger than my younger brother, Is it because of the red light? I can't prove it but he doesn't have one. This light is $11 so if you want to see if red light therapy is worth it, you can roll the dice on this and see if there are any benefits. Personally I'm approaching my 4th decade and have a good head of hair, very few grays (although I am finding more) and few wrinkles. Red light therapy is not a fountain of youth, and you can't red light yourself out of a bad diet, smoking, drinking, not sleeping, or living on corn syrup but I think this light is a great $11 hack. It's bright as hell and my wife often comments on the red glow coming out from under the door when I'm basking in it.

Correction - Bulb was good - My socket was bad.
Edit - After reading all the glowing reviews for this bulb, I figured I either got a lemon, or there was something wrong with my setup. Took the bulb out and tried it in another floodlight socket. Bazinga! Everyone else was right. This bulb is plenty bright! I just need a new socket to light up my Nativity scene. Rating upgraded from one star to FIVE STARS! Original (incorrect) Review: This so called flood light is not at all bright. I bought a red one to light up the Nativity scene in our yard for Christmas. It's not even able to glow red enough to outshine a street light that's 100 feet away. I had to move it to about 4 feet away from the scene and it only barely lights up baby Jesus. All the stores are out of these so I'll make due for this year and find a better one after the holidays to use next year. This one will go in the trash. Very disappointing.

Great light for chick brooder
I was concerned about eye caused by IR heat lamps being on the chics 24/7. I chose a 250 W ceramic heat lamp that puts out only heat, no light; and pared it with this red lamp that doesn’t affect the chics ability to sleep nor damage their eyes. Its on a timer that turns off with daylight and on again at dusk.

Excellent For Outdoor Lighting
I purchased this bulb in red and green to light two front-yard trees for the holidays. The effect at night far exceeds my expectations. The colors are brilliant and the light bright enough to illuminate the upper limbs of a 30-foot oak from the ground. I recommend this product without hesitation.

I grabbed a couple of these and a green one from the same brand, they look great and I didn't have to get up on a ladder for an hour to hang Christmas lights. Best solution ever! They look great

Light didn't last long.
I purchased two of these bulbs for my mother to use for Christmas decorations. One bulb still works, the other died after a few hours of use. It was obviously defective. I expect more from Westinghouse products. I would not purchase this item again.

produce a bright light
These flood lights generate a bright light. They are just as powerful as the incandescents I have used in the past. They nicely light up the front of my house and produce an attractive shade of red. They are, however, expensive. Hope they come down in price.

Vibrant Colour
I am very impressed with these bulbs; the colour is very bright and vibrant. My neighbours ended up purchasing them in green, which looks awesome, too. The bulbs are compatible with regular halogen kits!

Defective
Installed the bulb and tested it. It flashed like a very fast strobe light. I bought another colour from a different seller and had the same experience. Returning both.
