Only Buy this cord !
We were surprised that when we purchased our new dryer our store (Lowe's) didn't offer this cord. We were also told that if we didn't purchase "their" new cord, at almost $25, that we would not get a warranty & we couldn't purchase an extended warranty (that is 100% illegal). So we purchased the only cord that they had, a Utilimaster made in china. Our new dryer suffered a catastrophic short that destroyed, melted, charred, the circuit panel. They "warrantied" everything (lie-they took it back), & brought the same exact dryer and the same exact cord. We returned everything for a full refund including the extended warranty. We then ordered this cord from Amazon and purchased another Whirlpool dryer from Menard's. I installed everything myself in about 15 minutes. This cord features a REAL WORKING anti vibration bracket with 2 fingers not 1. 1 finger doesn't do anything. Stores sell inferior cheaper cords as a huge % profit point. Please don't fall for it. I DO believe that purchasing a new cord with a new dryer is a good valid idea ! But never purchase or be forced to purchase an imported inferior cord from anybody. This could "shorting" could have grown into a fire and worse if I hadn't been standing there & able to unplug the dryer. Dryers only use a slow blow fuse in your panel so dryer fires can happen very easy. The fuse did not blow. By the way it is 100% illegal for any store to force ANY purchase to offer any warranty that is included or extended. This cord was actually priced LESS than the new power cords available at the stores. The Menard's, Lowe's, Sear's that I checked here locally in the Indy metro area only offered cheap imported inferior cords at a MUCH higher price. I checked Amazon, purchased this cord. It does not vibrate loosely at all ! ! Always purchase name brands! Thank you Whirlpool & Amazon ! !

Ordered Whirlpool got GE cords?
Ordered two Whirlpool 6ft, 3 wire dryer cords but was sent two GE 10/3 SRDT, 3 wire, 6ft, ring terminals, same plug type as pictured (GE part #WX09X10004). Are Whirlpool and GE kissing cousins or was this just a mistake? Same cord and specs, just different name. Appear to be of good quality and well made with of course good ol' "Made in China" in fine print on GE bag. If something goes wrong with cords, wife will blame me anyway. I'll file this issue in the "Who Cares- I'm Married" file and use the cords. I wouldn't hesitate to order again. Neutral is middle wire (L shape on plug), outer wires are both hot on this cord for those that don't know. Consult an Electrician if you are lost, it ain't worth your life!

Buying a new dryer - Take a look here!
I bought this for our new GE dryer and I was thoroughly surprised to find this Whirlpool cord worked perfectly. Surprised because nothing is supposed to work so well. It demanded attention to detail; exacted some physical skills; but, this cord fit with the exact length after meeting the electrical requirements. One of the best qualities is its certification to meet national electrical standards - please notice the product's detailed information. I highly recommend this high-grade product: it will meet and exceed the most demanding household appliance needs. Caution: make sure you've carefully read the electical requirements before buying this or any other product.

Just Right
I needed a six foot long dryer cord in order to stack my dryer on top of my washer. My condo's outlet for the dryer cord was positioned too low to the ground for the factory installed cord to reach. I went to two home improvement stores and neither carried a cord longer than the standard 4 foot cord. I was very glad I found one on Amazon, reasonably priced. It has allowed me to stack the units and open up some very needed floor space in my laundry room. It also arrived very quickly. I recommend it for anyone else in the same predicament with stackable laundry units.

Just the right length
After purchasing a new washer and dryer it was time to replace hoses and cords. Since my laundry room was small and it was going to be a tight fit I wanted to get a longer dryer cord that would allow me to pull the dryer out a bit farther and clean/work behind it. Of course, I also got a longer vent. This cord was the perfect length, plenty of slack to pull the dryer out without stretching or stressing it. Please pay careful attention to the cord you by, I noticed many on Amazon that were not UL listed. This particular cord is UL listed. Highly recommended.

I did it all by my lonesome...
My new washer and dryer came with a short cord, so I bought this to alleviate the stretching of the cord that the delivery person seemed to think was "okay". I'm not the handiest person in the world, so I took a photo of the back of the dryer - a before shot, if you will, just in case it wasn't obvious what I was supposed to do. My dryer was back up and running, without risking an electrical fire, within 15 minutes. I read another review on this product that said, "If I can do it, anyone can." Ditto.
