Clean tasting well water!
Finally, after many attempts to remove the odd taste from my well water system, I’ve got a solution that’s fairly maintenance free.

Very well worth the buy from a well-known company.
Instructions are very clear how to install the system. Just make sure you purge the system for a few hours. I bought a water TDS tester, city water was 300 pph, Dasani was 23, Fridge filter was 280 pph, and this Whirlpool RO system was 17 pph. I bought the two filter system from Whirlpool and the water did not tase good and the pph was 10 points better than tap water, so I returned it for this system. Yeah chrome faucet a little tacky, but it has to be used because the RO waste water runs to it before it goes into your drain. You can make it work with a faucet with one water connection, you just have to buy some different adapters, not worth the hassle. No leaks at all and the whole family loves the taste of the water. No lie, it is better tasting than bottled water. Wait about 2 hours for the tank to fill with clean RO water, and the water will flow out really fast.

Good RO with problems
This is a great RO unit other than a couple minor issues. First is the faucet. Terrible. I threw it away and used the one I already have. Took a minute to figure out how to bypass it as the waste line goes to it. Why? Oh, a built in air gap. Waste of time. The always leak. Second are the size of the lines. I have had RO units for 20 plus years and have never seen one with 3/8 lines. A minor inconvenience. Took a couple adapters and all was good. Also, why are there not 90 degree fittings on the back of this unit? Add them, it creates more room as you can slide it farther back in the cupboard. Once hooked up and primed it creates clean water very quickly and has enough pressure in the tank to fill your favorite coffee pot in the AM..... The water out of this unit tastes fantastic and the filters are much easier to change compared to conventional RO units.

Works well
Works great. TDS down to 20 from 800+. Easy install. Doesn't take up much space. Read the instructions. Only complaint: Faucet mount is weak. I added a backplate under the sink for the bolts to hold on to to make it a secure install. Without the plate it was floppy.

this is the one to get
I've been ordering bottled water from a local water filtration company that brings 5 gallon bottles.. excellent water and we go through about 5, 5 gallon bottles every 2 weeks, and now because of the virus I'm not so excited to get the delivery, that guy who visits a dozen+ homes per day, or go to the store directly and pick them up myself. In turn, I was looking at RO filters on Amazon and studied the reviews of similar priced water filters... there are a few good companies and options to get.. some add ph, add minerals, etc.. but my friend suggested I go with Whirlpool and this exact model. I am soooo pleased with this purchase, I can't stop telling people to get this one. It was fairly easy to install, I read the manual and installation steps carefully.. planned the install and did it myself in about an hour and a half. Pretty straight forward, you will need to cut the tubes; use a brand new clean razor to cut the tubes to the proper length, please practice a few small cuts close to the end so that you don't cut too much off and end up having to order new tubes. Once you're done, you will need to drop 3ml of Clorox bleach into the system to disinfect it, then run the water for 24 hours. Once the system is purged, the reservoir fills up again and it's ready to use. So far after a few days there are no issues, the water tastes great and I have such peace of mind now.. I can forget about calling to order a water delivery. It's a great system, Whirlpool is a great brand, the other brands might be good too but think about the replacement filters. Beware, the parts are plastic, I suggest you take your time and don't over torque it. I'm so relieved this system is working great and the water is absolutely perfect. The best $200 I spent so far this crappy year. Don't forget to put the 3ml bleach through the system to disinfect. Be well and be safe.

Easy to install replacement for my older WHER25 RO system
I read a bunch of bad reviews about this system regarding leaks around the yellow hose connection. It looks like many of those reviews may have been for a previous version. Regardless, I have had a Whirlpool WHER25 RO system for years and the system finally stopped producing filtered water. I recharged the tank which helped for a few months, but I think accumulation of sediment on the inside of the hoses was clogging the prefilter. I decided to go with Whirlpool again due to the WHER25 system worked for so long and changing the filters was SUPER easy. No bucket or towels or tools required. This new system I bought uses the same filters and I expect changing the filters to be easy and the system cost about 50 bucks less than the WHER25 for pretty much the same thing. Installation took about two hours. You just need to install a faucet (more about that later), tap into your water line (already done for previous system) and run a hose to discharge waste water. I used the standing pipe for my dishwasher for the discharge. Route all the hoses, cut to length (with service loops), plug it all together, pressure check, sanitize, and purge. All pretty straight forward. Now about the faucet. The faucet with the new system is the same as the one that came with my old system. It's kinda cheap looking, a little flimsy, and my old one would twist loose every time you turned the water on/off. I decided to order a better faucet from ESOW (Model ZT-02) which looks to be a far better faucet. Time will tell. The ESOW faucet came with the right adaptors to easily hook up to the Whirlpool RO system. I'll probably take the timer portion of the Whirlpool faucet and throw it under my sink so I can still use it to tell me when 6 months have passed or you can also have Whirlpool send you a text every 6 months to let you know when it's time to swap out filters. The system all comes with a smallish storage tank, which is good in my case, cause a larger or wider tank wouldn't fit under my sink. CONS: Filters are kinda pricey.
