Quality is not as good as my 40 year old one.
I had looked in all the brick and mortar stores before going online to find another plunger like the one I got from my childhood home because I wanted to keep a separate one in another bathroom. It was very hard to find the right size and style, but I found this one. The handle was a few inches shorter, but it was a good piece of wood (painted red). The rubber part smells awful! I had to put it outside for a week in hopes it would air-out. I washed it over and over and it still smelled strong of rubber chemicals. When I eventually had a need to use it, I was disappointed that it didn't create a good enough seal in the toilet in order to unplug it the way that my old one does. This new one is slightly smaller and the rubber is thinner. My husband threw the subpar, new ones away since they didn't work (and still smelled).

Wanted a second plunger in the house so I didn't have to go up and down the stairs. Found this one after searching for quite awhile and finally got the chance to use it a couple of weeks ago. After trying to unclog my toilet for about 10 minutes I went upstairs and grabbed my cheap one I bought at the local hardware store and had it unclogged in just 3 plunges. I ended up throwing this plunger in the garbage cause I noticed the wood handle cracked on it as well in my one attempt to unclog the toilet.
