Worx brand is the best!!

I bought a generic brand to save a few dollars but was constantly manually feeding the line because it kept breaking. Too much extra work.

This 'standard' line is (sort of) ok, but there's a BETTER ALTERNATIVE (below)

The plastic spools are OK BUT the 'standard' doublehelix line on these WORX spools is only (sort of) ok... it will (sort of) do the job, but there's a much better alternative. HERE'S THE SOLUTION: Go ahead and use the 'standard' (red) double helix line that comes on the plastic spools and when the line runs out SAVE THE EMPTY SPOOL(S) to refill with better line. If you want to get the BEST RESULTS, REWIND THESE SPOOLS (yourself) with (blue) 0.065" Cyclone (USA made professional) trimmer line which is MUCH BETTER line (also available from Amazon.com). It is NOT HARD to rewind/refill these spools (carefully notice from a pre-wound spool how the line is secured and the arrow on the spool and make sure you carefully rewind in the proper direction). The plastic spool(s) can be reused/refilled many times which is more economical, less plastic in a landfill and will deliver best line trimming results. The WORX trimmer is a good machine (4.5-stars) and I would give the 'standard' (red) doublehelix line about 2-stars and the (blue) Cyclone (USA made professional) trimmer line 4.5-stars. The USA made (blue) trimmer line delivers a MAJOR UPGRADE to the performance of the WORX trimmer. Once you use the (USA made blue) trimmer line, you won't want to return to the 'standard' (red) trimmer line, especially when edging (vertically) along a concrete walkway.

These thing don't last at all

I bought this trimmer because it was hands free and gasoline free.. From reviews I read that the battery operated ones were lighter.. they definitely are light.. but omg these things wear down soooooo fast.. if you have anything bigger than a row house this aint for you... I can only finish half my lawn.. Two batteries are a must.. now these spools go on nice n quick.. but man are they weak.. The blower that comes with this set is kool.. for a first time user this is ok.. Twin house or more too week..

Pricey for 10 feet of line. I bought them for the spools. I will find bulk line that will work and is cheaper.

All I do is snap in weed eater line and it's good to go easy as 1 2 3 and I'm 70

Easy to change

Omg these are so easy to install. After seeing what my husband goes thru when changing his line on his stihl I was hoping mine wouldn’t be difficult and it was a breeze. Perfect for me. The line last me about a month. I edge every week driveway, two large islands, foundation flower beds I keep going until I’m done or I get tired. I always have the second battery ready to go.

What's not to like

I have previously rewound the factory supplied spool with new line, but it's not always a success at getting it to draw out, at this price it's a no brainer to replace the entire spool. I do recycle the empty spools as they are 'hard' plastic that my local authority has a recycling skip for.
