Requires 14-3 wiring

When I purchased the fan, limited information was available on the wall switch that comes with the unit. I can confirm that the wall switch is a hardwire switch requiring 14-3 (not 14-2) wiring to properly function and operate the light and fan independently. Since I did not know this prior to ordering, I had to return it as it was not possible for me to to re-wire, and I did not want the fan and light on at the same time in a permanent fashion. Note that after further review the fan is compatable with a bluetooth remote/app with fanmation (which works awesome and lets the fan operate via an app and included remote off 14-2 wiring), but I didn't fee like forking out for that additional hardware and $100 in this case, so I returned it.

Sterile Look!

This fan looks like it should be in a hospital, not a home. It is very sterile looking. There is no style to it. I will never purchase another fan online. A fan is an item one needs to see on a ceiling in order to make the right selection. I bought this one online, had it installed, and hated it. That said, it works fine but it is not the most energy efficient fan either, or one that pushes the most air for the size. (56”). If you like naked, boring and stark, this is the fan for you. If you like something contemporary but with style, choose a different fan, preferably one you have seen operating on a ceiling.
