Great hammer - but why all the stickers?

Estwing makes a great hammer, but it's inexplicably covered with stickers that don't peel off. I tried, leaving white paper sticker residue. I guess I could clean it up with acetone or something, but why?

Best hammer

I loaned by previous Estwing to a friend and did not get it back - it was 25+ years old! These are great hammers. I prefer the grip on this style hammer over the rubber grip as they tend to be easier on the hands if your use is intermittent, this style does not cause blisters. The grip is better in hot weather as well. Highest marks!

Built to last

Very nice hammer, great tried and true vintage design. The hammer looks good overall, and it will hold up for years to come for the low price of 30 dollars. The only complaint are the stupid stickers on it. Best part about it is that its Made in the USA. I would recommend this hammer.

Husband is happy.

This was a birthday gift for hubby since I keep stealing his hammer for my craft and garden projects. Now he has a fancy hammer I won't take. He says it has a good feel to it. Wrapped handle a plus.

Held off buying an Estwing due to the cost. As they say, buy cheap, buy twice! Well worth the investment. Great hammer. Remember to engrave your name on the head, on site, they're very sought after.

Top quality that will last a lifetime

I work as a maintenance man & have been using an old Stanley hammer for years. I decided to treat myself to an upgrade, so I ordered this Estwing. I used one many years ago & it always stuck with me, what good quality it was & how well balanced it was. When my new hammer arrived, my memory was proved correct. Its a beautiful quality item & a pleasure to use. I know it'll last a lifetime, so it was a worthwhile treat.
