Safe for Hood Decal on '13 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk
wish i had taken a pre and post image of my Trailhawk hood before and after application, but these pics were taken this morning - a full 24 hours after - and following a quick water dousing to remove more bird poop. so there is some pollen, and a bit of water streak. normally, that streaking does not occur after buffing. and if you saw the pre, you'd realize the difference is really incredible. yesterday at this time, my use was a spontaneous response to birds in my neighborhood using my side mirrors as...personal grooming pedestals. lol!! so...after removal of bird droppings from the mirrors and side door, the hood decal, which is 9 yo now, was looking pretty rough after winter. i use 303 on it at least semi annually, but has been awhile, so i washed, dried then applied. quick note - on this decal, i found if i use my fingers to apply and palms to rub in, it turns out amazing. but when i try to apply with any cloth, it left streaks. ergo, wipe on, rub in well. i also did not buff this time. thus far, before any rain going on 24 hours, it is still shining as if i use Armor All. i love this stuff. i do have a spot where bird dropping ate away at the top decal and a tiny bit of red is showing through from bottom decal and even when painted over with black touch up, the 303 did not seem to protect that color/paint and it eventually showed the red again. more an issue with paint bonding to decal than 303. this stuff will also darken faded black wheel well strips and plastics, but in my case, it has not prevented sun fade of them. though i should say, for 9yo, they are not silver as most cars this age get. they're more of a dark grey. and i did not use nearly as often as on the hood decal. so yes, the plastics do come back to black for a bit once applied. couple hard rains and they are back to the dark grey. but am still protecting them better than using nothing or Back to Black, which just temporarily covers the surface and does not penetrate. am on here for more b/c i have used on bike parts exposed to sun and weather as well. shines carbon up nicely and prevents dirt accumulating. have used on vintage motorbike with great success - all plastics, wheels, tank ect. wish this would stop plastic headlight lenses from clouding, but that a steep ask.

Cheaper by the gallon
I quit using Armor All and have now used Aerospace 303 instead for a decade. It is sunscreen for your outdoor stuff. It is 25% cheaper by the gallon.

Easy to use
I use this on my RV. It's easy to apply - I bought a commercial grade spray bottle and apply liberally. I use a very soft towel to wipe up after letting sit for 20 to 30 seconds. on the roof I tend to leave it a bit damp and allow it to air dry. I think it gives me a thicker coating of protection. On the sides I apply it the same but after wiping down with a towel, I usual have to get a dry cloth and buff it more like a polish. After 6 months the shine seems to hold up pretty well. I've not had it long enough to know how well long range protection holds up, but short range use seems great. I'd definitely buy again.

Perfect
use this product to help protect vinyl graphics on our RV from sun damage. Also use on plastic parts and painter surfaces and even the tires in many areas of the RV. Also use to protect many items on our truck, tires, plastic parts, vinyl graphics, topper on bed. Have been using this product for several years now for protection. Time will tell how well it has protected everything, for now am really happy with how it works. Some surfaces are harder to apply to than others. It does not dry, you have to wipe off excess with a good micro cloth.

Like it...
It works, does a great job, and has the UV 40 rating. The 303 isn't as slippery feeling as the Mequiar's, smells better and comes in several different sizes. The 32oz is a better buy then the 16oz, and the gallon is a really great buy. Just be sure to save your orginal spray bottle. I bought the 303 to use on my Soloflex Weight Straps as it is recommend by Soloflex, to stop the oxidation process. Mequiar's is recommend also. The weight straps are a dense rubber composite and the 303 is working great. There are no warnings on the 303 stating various items not to use it on, as are listed on the Mequiar's. So I have used it on the Soloflex bench and the Rockit bench and footrest, no issues. It may do a wonderful job on dashboards, but I haven't tried it. Soloflex only suggests using 303 Aerospace Protectant or Meguiar's M40 Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner as preventive maintenance. They however don't tell you how to do it. There isn't anything enclosed with my new replacement weight straps regarding maintenance or treatment of the rubber. Makes me wonder how they control aging of their stock. Since the straps are made of a dense-hard rubber compound, they aren't porous. To my way of thinking, just spraying the protectant on and wiping it off, doesn't give you the best bang for your buck. So I have been soaking them for several days in the protectant, in a Lock-n-Lock container. These containers are air tight, keeping the protectant from becoming thick and jelly like. I turn the straps once a day. This is another reason I like the 303 in the gallon size. If your straps are very old the protectant will turn black as the oxidation is washed off. Then I wrap them individually in cloth and store them in another Lock-N-Lock container. Could also spray a light coat of protectant on each strap before wrapping. For very long term storage I'm thinking of vacuum sealing the straps in my Food Saver vacuum bags. No air, no oxidation. And since the pours would be forced open do to minus atmosphere, more protectant should be forced in. Since my Soloflex and Rockit are old and hadn't been used in years, and I wasn't aware the straps needed treatment, four of them broke first use after coming out storage. All (10, 5, 2.5#) broke in about the same place, a short distance from the plastic ring, going toward the center of the strap. There is a suspicious looking round spot in the center of each break, looks more like a molding imperfection then an aging issue. All of the new replacement straps look, feel and smell different then the broken straps and those that haven't broken, but are now treated. Soloflex told me the compound was the same, go figure. I'm treating all my straps, new and old. I want to pass the Soloflex equipment onto my grandkids, with usable straps. The reason I started using the Soloflex again, should of never stopped, my surgeon wanted me doing leg extensions to aid the rehabilitation process of my year old TKA. I had been using the Rockit without straps, but have since started adding straps. Has made a world of difference, especially with the breaking up of the scar tissue. Only time will tell... May your rubber always be protected...

Inflatable ‘SeaEagle’ Kayak .. very good !
Having spent over a grand on the SeaEagle 385ft I want to try and get as long an operating life out of it as possible. Checked with the manufacturer and they recommend 303. Just sprayed it on and buffed up with a microfibre cloth. Right away the boat started to look better.. the 303 gives it a slightly shinny ‘new’ look .. removes all the minor scuffing and makes the boat smoother to touch. In the water it causes droplets to bead more. Also hopefully gives UV protection. Overall I’ve been very pleased.. it says re- apply every 3 months or so.. I would guess I’ll get 4-5 applications from one bottle .. Worth doing !
