Good product

I liked having the pulley compared to a fixed loop on the rope. This is our second one and the first one lasted 3 to 4 years until the pulley broke.

May have an issue with hooks fitting your tie downs.

As others noted you may have an issue with hooks fitting your tie downs. I ended up threading the line through the tie down and hooking itself/the line. Not ideal but better than having the hook come off the tie downs on the transom because it can't close properly.

Very good Product

The media could not be loaded. Waited to review this until I used it for the first time. Great product. It clears the outboard motor and swivels side-to-side as intended. This keeps the rope from jerking hard when you go through turns, and does a good job staying clear of your motor. Highly recommend. I read some reviews that the boat-attachment clips were too small. I'm guessing that is an issue if you have very thick transom loops on your boat. On my boat (Lund) my loops are normal size (about as thick as a pencil) and the clips fit easily without any issues. This is a real review, I am not paid for my opinions.

Hooks/Clips TOO SMALL!!! and RUSTS Big Time

UPDATE: Gotta wonder if the reviews I'm seeing are being posted before these things have a chance to rust which would be about 2 months or so. By the end of the first season the hooks were completely covered in rust. I still used them the second season UNTIL I forgot to cover them and the rust permanently stained the inside compartment of the boat. So...hooks too small to fit a small center console and rusted ugly within one season. Shame...because other than small hooks and rust these things performed great. Original Review: The clip/hooks on the item were too small to fit the circle hooks on the back of my 18 foot center console. Before I ordered I saw the myriad of reviews where the size of the clips were described as too small.... but thought that the ones on my boat are about as small as they come and thought "surely they would fit one of the smaller boat hooks like mine and the folks having issues had to have larger boats with larger hooks on them". Bottom line - you will have to buy another set of hooks to use to connect to the boat and then connect the ones from the harness to them. Don't get me wrong, the hooks it comes with seem top notch except for the size they'll clip to. If I had to do it again ... I wouldn't. I don't know if all the clips from Kwik Tek Harnesses are the same small size but I do know I won't be ordering any other Kwik Tek items if they come with clips. The tow rope I bought from Kwik Tek looks pretty good though. BTW - I just spent another $8.00 for the heavy duty clips to work around the issue so it kinda doubled the cost.

Disappointed

This is not my picture but had same issue. Used a few time for towing a tube. Seemed to work at first but then rope got wedged between metal frame and pulley. Noticed plastic was cracked and metal around pulley was bent. Rope frayed and snapped third day using. Contacted Amazon who was great and offered replacement when it was available or a full refund. Taking the refund and getting the one without the pulley.

Hooks don’t fit our boat.

Will return. The hooks to attach this to our boat are too small, so the safely catch won’t close. Not good for peace of mind when towing precious cargo. Rope is very cheap too, which is expected for the price.

Finally got to use this with my grandson in the ...

Finally got to use this with my grandson in the tube behind the boat. Worked well at keeping things centred and not just pulling on one side of the boat. I did tywrap a piece of "noodle" on top of the black floating material which may have helped keep everything above water. Can't say if it would have floated properly without the noodle on there. Anyway yes this item performed as expected.....

LOW Quality control, Sharp edges !

The media could not be loaded. Sharp edges at hooks and pulley. The rope already has some damage... Not even sure if it is the same as CT, will check when CT allow in store pickup. Not worth $. Update it is the same quality as CT, the same issue...

Not a good product for single tube

Used it maybe 6 times over 1 month and the rope started fraying around where the pulley is and then just snapped. Got the harness May 22nd and didn't even last 2 months. I got the same issue as other reviewers where the rope gets stuck in the pulley. I would not buy this again and I would just buy the solid ropes without the pulley. It's pretty sad that the return policy is 1 month.
