A few flaws, but still love it

The media could not be loaded. The product arrived quickly and was in pretty good condition, but not perfect. All of the pieces were present and the screws were nicely organized in a plastic box. Though none of the pieces were labeled and I had to rely on the pictures in the instructions to identify each piece. There was a small chip on one side piece of the boat, but I didn't want to take my chances by returning it and hoping to get another one with no scratches or dings. Instead I assembled it with my husband. I am not sure if others could do it by themselves, but I felt like it was necessary to have someone else there to hold the pieces while inserting some of the screws. Everything fit together and it seems very sturdy. I struggled to fit the last two pieces (with the portholes) in, but they eventually went in with some persuasion. They are just VERY snug. I saw another review showing the handle was wobbly, but I was able to tighten it enough that it no longer moves. Overall, I feel good about the construction of it. Though I do wish that the wood on the inside was smoother. It probably won't splinter, but I was not expecting it to be rougher than the outer parts when this is the part where the child sits. As soon as I put the boat in my (almost 1 year old) daughter's playpen, she was all over it. She climbed in (on the wrong side) and got herself stuck a few times. She also hasn't figured out how to get out of it without diving head first. So it's not something I would let her play in without supervision until she is a bit older. She immediately started putting all of her toys in it. She has fun rocking it by hand from the outside. She also figured out how to make it rock from the inside very quickly and she looks like she's having a blast. She loves lounging in the seat with both of her feet up. I am thinking of adding a very thin pad to the seat and floor of the boat just to make it more comfortable and less rough. Ultimately I think this was a great purchase and I'm pretty happy with it, but I just want to let others know that it's not perfect and that I would have realistically given it a 4.5 if I could.

It's smaller and not as sturdy as expected. Disappointed by the cheap material.

Adorable!

Thank you for making this affordable! I was originally looking for a rocking horse, but they were all outside my budget and that’s when I came across this little gem! ???? it rocks really smoothly and even has little stops at the front and back so it doesn’t flip. I lost the instructions, but honestly I didn’t even need them, it took me less than 30 minutes to assemble. The only drawbacks were one screw hole was too big so I had to put some toothpicks in the hole to get the screw in tight. Then the handlebar hole wasn’t big enough so I drilled it out a little wider. Thinking back I could have just used the larger screw in the smaller hole and vice versa.

beautiful boat my boy loves it, easy to assemble in less than 20 minutes, I thought it would only work for the photo but my baby plays with the boat every day, (The only thing that I didn’t like has the name of the brand in red is very visible but I still give it 10 stars)

Received without any screws

The quality of the construction was great! save that I didn't receive any of the screws or bolts neccessary for construction and no option to contact the seller. So far now it just sits in the corner, hoping one day that I can guess the proper size of screw. If anyone could assist in telling me which screws or bolts I need to purchase that would be outstanding!

Absolutely adorable and super sturdy. We wanted something different, other than a rocking horse. When we found this we were thrilled. It’s really cute, well made and in my opinion very well priced.

Beautiful rocking boat for my daughter

We bought this Hape Rocking boat for our daughter after seeing her climbing into her carseat and try to rock it. The boat is brilliant! Very wellmade, sturdy and looks expensive. My daughter (14M) can get in and out of the boat herself. Sometimes she uses the boat as her toy storage box too. We highly recommend this to both baby boys n girls.
