Wonderful price for a sophisticated look.

Excited about this handleset. Our house is 25 yrs old and this is the first time we have needed to paint since we purchased it. The front door handle is original and is showing its age. We wanted a modern replacement that’s good looking and well built. Several highend sellers have similar handlesets for much much more $. This one hits all the right buttons for a third of the price. Part of ours savings will buy us a new door bell with video camera.

This door hardware is high quality. Installed in about 30 minutes. Works smooth, looks amazing.

Way better than what it replaced

My house came with builder grade Copper Creek hardware. Front handle set was loose and decaying, and the latch bolt was sticky: it wouldn’t slide out on its own to keep the door closed. It was a hidden-screw design, which I’ve come to despise: I couldn’t get it to disengage and had to pry and hammer the pieces to remove them. This replacement feels way more solid. I followed the instruction graphics and had zero trouble installing. Suggest not tightening the lower screw all the way until the rest is put together, and only then installing the decorative cover. I like that it comes with 3” strike screws, though a drill bit would nice to include since common sets aren’t long enough to tap a deep enough pilot hole. I used the existing plates to save time and home stripping. The pieces are attached through the cardboard packing in the box, so they must be separated before installation. This leaves you with several spare pieces and screws, so don’t wig when you have bits left over

Assembly is unusual

I hired a contractor to put this in and he was puzzled at first. However, after it is installed, it is a great addition.

READ THIS before drilling any new holes!

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU DRILL ANY NEW HOLES!!! I noticed several comments about the deadlock not lining up properly on doors with pre-drilled holes, even after the provided template matched up perfectly, and HERE IS WHAT WENT WRONG➡️ We experienced the same frustration! But THIS is what is different! This deadbolt does not line up like you intuitively expect (or like we’ve experienced with any other lock set before!) The torque blade of the deadbolt slides in BELOW the latch bolt...not through it like you expect it to! See pics I’ve attached! If you put it together with the torque blade under the latch bolt, it goes together like a dream!!! We LOVE this gorgeous lock set. Heavy, solid, and substantial...huge upgrade to our front entrance. ENJOY!

If you buy this product get a locksmith to install, or read instruction several times

it was cumbersome and convoluted to install both of these front door lock handles. Baldwin makes you buy two sets and then sends the four parts needed to convert one set into a dummy lock. on the inside, the single bolt mechanism appears somewhat lose as one turns the knob to open or close. I will contact Baldwin to check this out. The same mechanism opens door from outside and locks it from inside with the single bolt. This is the part of the installation that took a long while, because instruction are not very clear and too technical for non technical people. There is one part in the mechanism that seems to be plastic and this where the outside key opens the single bolt, this is another issue I will bring to Baldwin. I researched this item prior to buying it and although had to buy two lock handles, it is exactly what my front doors needed.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS TWICE!!!!

This product has been advertised as a new product. Unfortunately, when my new door was installed today, the deadbolt torque blade of this lock is not aligned with the latch bolt. Since this a professional installation, I had to drive to the local Home Depot for a lock set. I now need to know how I can return this lock. HOWEVER....after re-reading the instructions, we saw that the torque blades had to be inserted staggered. Upon further review after installation and use....we love it. Looks good and performs well.

Elegant looking solid handleset

It is a very nice looking entry door handleset. My installer put it on with no issue at all. It comes with standard dims and setups. The installation is straight forward. Color-wise, It is not solid black. Though, it's dark enough to contrast with the orange/red I have.

Looks Amazing

Looks amazing on our front door. We were worried as it isn’t the normal English lock but it’s fabulous. Love the fact that the door can be left unlocked but still closed. Would highly recommend.
