Helpful for not for everything

Helpful in putting up frames but not helpful with vertical positioning of the frames.

Frame placement made easy

I highly recommend this frame placement and nail/screw marking device for most projects. Making it quick and easy to align and hang my frames. It has a limited min/max width so be aware of that before affixing your frame hangers.

Supposed to make hanging easier, it did not

I saw the MarkIT tool and thought it would help with hanging up all the art in my new place, from past experience it was time consuming. After attempting to use the MarkIT on various sized frames and layouts, I decided to go back to just using my level and pencil. The MarkIT was awkward to use, it was not wide enough for the spaces between larger frame's hangers or for spacing between frames, and the level is not accurate at all. I found myself having to reposition nails most of the time, creating additional holes in the wall, I thought that was the purpose of using the MarkIT to eliminate trial and errors. I went back to hanging pictures without using the MarkIT, and am doing just fine using a level and a pencil.

Damaged package.

Package was damaged. All small nails got spilled out on the floor, pretty hard to see them. Really hurt the feet until we have located all of them finally.

Straight pictures

One thing I hate is crooked or uneven pictures or framed posters. This ends the guesswork and makes it all alright and pleasing to the eyes.

Worked surprisingly well

I used this to hang several pictures, wall art, and some canvas painting. It is simplistic but works surprisingly well. You hang your picture or artwork on the hook/tab on this thing, hold it up against the wall where you want it, and press lightly. It makes a tiny dimple in the Sheetrock right where your nail/screw needs to go. The built-in level is a nice feature as well as the expanding wings if you are hanging pictures next to each other. My only gripe is that the hanger tab could have come out a tiny bit further. It was off the slightest bit for 2 pictures I was hanging side-by-side (too shallow to catch that particular type of hook). It would have saved me a LOT of work had it worked with those two. But it worked on all the others and was well worth the money. I definitely recommend it.

Useful bit of kit

Works well and makes it easier to hang painting. Only thing to watch out for is that the hooks on the tool are quite big so it doesn’t fit every painting, hence 4 stars.

Works well

Very good for getting pictures hanging EXACTLY where you want them. Only trouble with this, and similar products, is the the hangers on the product are a bit fragile and if you break one while perhaps trying to hang on a larger type of picture or hanging mechanism you have to throw it away.
