Decent Clip for Holding a screen

This product is specifically for holding the screen frame in the window slot the screen goes in. Intended for the clip to be installed on the window frame. That's what the instructions describe. Including the drill bit to use to drill your pilot hole. I did the opposite for my application. I attached the clip to the screen frame and had the clip hold the small rib the screen sits against. The offset was more accurately 8mm (which is in the description), a very small amount over 5/16". That's only important for a non-standard screen install. For the DIYers, this clip is a soft metal and can be trimmed with a Dremel cutoff wheel, holding the tab with a wrench. I did that very easily. The screws have a flat bottom and not self tapping. All coated white. Should be perfect for a standard install mounting on the window frame and holding a screen that is 5/16" thick. Also a decently priced start for a Do-it-yourselfer for a non standard install.

These do what they are supposed to do! These window/screen clips were so easy to install! I’m sorry I didn’t do it sooner. I replaced all the clips on my screen doors. Changing from storm window two screens it’s so much easier now.

Look great!

I had purchased some metal ones and really wanted white to match the screen frame and trim so they didnt stick out so much. These look great and seem very sturdy. The one drawback is that the screws are way to short to really secure to the window trim, so I purchased some longer ones from my local Ace store. Finished product is perfect for holding my sunscreens in place and looks very nice.

Must have for sunscreens

I purchased these after replacing the plastic ones that came with my sunscreens. I have replaced the plastic ones 2-3 times, but I went looking for metal ones. I was hoping these would last longer and they have done so. We are going on one year with no issues or break down. Invest in these metal one over plastic and you will avoid replacing them after a brutal heat season. Good luck

Sturdy and good paint

These are metal window screen clips as opposed to the plastic ones. Being in Arizona the sun is not kind to the plastic ones. I don’t imagine they survive the extreme cold very well either, as they might crack from the freezing. The paint seems well baked on and did not scratch or flake off at all. I can recommend these.

Handy for screen frame fix

Always keep a few of these in assorted sizes for keeping external screens tight.

These are the metal ones. It worked.

They did the job. They come with threaded machine screws. Went into the vinyl window frames with no problem (DON"T USE A POWER DRIVER!) Only down side is they were kind of pricey.
