Art will last
Have used this paper for decades - illustrating/painting (no oil) / cartooning. Paper stays white, doesn't degrade, colors don't fade - my old stuff looks no different than my new stuff. Must have.

BEAUTIFUL! AMAZING, UNBEATABLE QUALITY! | In-depth Review | Rami Taha
Quality Rating: 5/5 Based on price: 4/5 Time with Product: 5 years (purchased in 2016) Review: Where do I begin. WOW. The quality of the paper is unbeatable! It is extremely smooth and durable. It is not easy to rip this paper. It has thickness to it too. I had to outline a few of my abstract art with a fine-tip marker and there was no bleeding on the back of the page. This booklet is absolutely amazing, it is great for sketching and it can withstand a lot of ink and a lot of graphite. The main reason why I decided to purchase this product was because I was using normal printer paper to sketch and shade in my art and the paper would appear like it was going to fall apart because there was so much graphite on the paper that it felt like the paper was soaked with water. It had that same feeling. Not to mention, all the graphite bled through the paper. For example, if I was working on a white wooden table and I was shading, There would be graphite marks and shades that had went through the paper. This product eliminated that! There was no more bleeding thanks to its great thickness, and there was no longer a weird texture while shading in that a normal printer paper would normally have. This is a high quality paper and I would recommend it to all artists who are serious about their work and their art. I would not necessarily recommend this for beginners because the paper is expensive and if you are at least not an amateur, it is simply unnecessary. You can get other great quality sketch books to practice on for much cheaper and you would not notice much of a difference in quality. I do notice the difference but that is because I have reached a point in my career where those small details matter and those small imperfections are important to me. WHAT I WOULD SUGGEST | EVEN FOR PROFESSIONALS: I would suggest you purchase two sketchbooks. One for practicing and daily sketching. Projects with an estimate time of under 10 hours. Then, I would purchase this high quality paper, and I would use it only for my serious pieces of work. Anything with an expected 10+ hours of sketching and work. I hope my review makes sense and helps you decide whether or not you would like to purchase this sketchbook. Have fun shopping! :) - Rami Taha

Good, but not what I expected
I got this because I was running low on my Strathmore 200 series comicbook art board, which has non-photo blue guidelines printed on it to help you with paneling and scaling and setting up the scene of your page and all that stuff when making comic book art. Got this as a cheaper alternative not realizing that it didn’t have these guidelines that I rely on. To be clear, it’s the exact same quality paper as the Strathmore 200 series comic art board, it’s just loose leaf instead of bound and doesn’t have the guidelines. It’s still paper that I love, I just have to use a non photo blue pencil to sketch in guidelines myself. Still use it a lot and it’s great for mixed media(except maybe watercolor), and I mostly use it for pencils to get great detail in my art. It’s smooth bristol, so can take a lot of abuse, too. Wish the details had been a little clearer prior to buying, but I still recommend it. Below is a drawing using the paper that isn’t quite finished but should hopefully show how good it is for details.

Bummed I got this!
I got this for realistic drawing. I am doing simply value chart and for what I want, it has too much tooth! It is also Vellum colored (Ivory). I wouldn't have gotten it, if I knew it was this color. I am going back to Bristol Smooth (not Vellum).

You don’t have to got to Swarthmore to appreciate Strathmore
Who needs an elite college when you’ve got elite and near perfect sletching paper. Been devoted to Strathmore for years and this small size is great for road trippin’ inspirations.

Great paper, but not a pad
This brand of paper is perfect for markers and pencils. It is the only one I'll use with my Copic markers. I also love how it's usually a pad, loosely glued on one side—however, there is no glue to be found here. It's just the loose paper. Everything else is identical to those I've gotten at physical stores, including the cover, but there's no binding. It's not a big deal for me, but if you really care about it being a pad, be aware that this isn't one.

This is the only paper that I will use for my art
This paper is the only one I use for my art! It holds up to erasing well. I also use it with colored pencils using the mineral spirits blending technique and it holds up very well. Great for pastels as well. I love this sturdy paper and don’t worry so much about bending the paper as I am working on a project! It is a must have in my art supplies

Big fan of the Strathmore-Bristol cardstock..
I make a lot of cards where I have to blend alcohol markers and this cardstock is perfect, in that, it allows for excellent blending and also a great weight for card matts....

Shipped in a bag
It's nice paper and what I was looking for. But it's just shipped in a regular Amazon bag. No protection so corners get a little bent. Luckily these sheets aren't going to be my final art work. But if you're looking for paper for finished art work the bent corners can be a deal breaker.

Great paper!
I have used this for pencil drawings and it is absolutely great!! So much better than the thinner lower quality paper I had! Definitely recommend! I have only used it for graphite work so can't comment on use with any other medium
