La lampe de poche d'urgence Avalon avec capteur est une lumière LED polyvalente. A nice light to have for all around use.
Good power failure and flashlight to have. Just pick up the light to use as a flashlight and carry it with you, using either the front or top light. The light has about 1 hour and 20 minutes of usable light on the front lens, 1.5 hours on the top lens. The mode button will turn it off and on. The motion detection is a nice feature, but didn't work on 1 of my 3 units. If you don't want to use this feature, just turn the light to face the wall, the power failure feature will still work. There is no night light feature.

Very bright and easy to use
It's very bright and I like that it has various light settings. Installation was simple, just plug it into a power outlet. I like that I can charge it with a USB, although I don't think I will need to.

Defective Motion on one light
These lights do not work as intended. The motion gets activated every couple minutes without any movement in the room on one of these lights. Many others rated these lights for the same reason. The seller sent me a new replacement for the defective one. So at least they made it right.

High Performing Safety Light - Good for Daily Night Light or Emergency Illumination Needs
We live in earthquake country and like to do our part to stay prepared. I purchased one Avalon LED Emergency Flashlight with Auto Sensor Rechargeable Docking Station And Nightlight ETL Approved Blackout Light from Excellent Electronics to see how it would perform and I have decided that I will be purchasing 1 or 2 more for the rest of the house. I cannot speak to the integrity of the lights from any other manufacturer or seller. We have the light plugged into a grounded outlet on a main walkway in our home. When plugged into the lower socket, the holder may block a portion of the upper socket, limiting what you can plug into the wall. The flashlight sits about 1 inch off the wall, but may also limit what you can plug into the upper socket. If the light is plugged into the upper socket, the lower socket is NOT obstructed. We keep the light plugged in 24/7, set to "off." When set to "off" the sensor will look for a combination of a lack of light + detection of movement to trigger the safety light. In our experience, the light and movement sensor is set at a good level of sensitivity. With other lights, I've noticed that as soon as it hits dusk the sensor feels there isn't enough light and the unit turns on frequently. Not so with with this unit. The light sensor gets it right, gives us light when we need and doesn't trigger when we don't need it. Pros * The light is bright enough to illuminate a room when the nightlight detects motion. * As soon as the unit is unplugged or the home loses power, the safety light activates. It is easy to push the on/off button, once you have picked up the device, to use it as a flashlight. * The device has functioned consistently for over 1.5 years. * The unit does not seem to overheat at the wall connection. Even after 1.5 years there is no detectable wear or damage of the device or the socket. * The motion detector has a wide range. We use it for safe passage in hallways at night, and after turning off lights in the front room to go to the back of the house. * The lights stays on for maybe 15-20 seconds each time, if it has not detected additional movement. * When used as a flashlight, the unit is very lightweight and easy to hold, even for kids hands. The surface is rather smooth, but I have not noticed an issue with grip. Cons: * Only one would be the socket block. The photo posted by the seller isn't completely accurate, at least not for all sockets. You can see how the flashlight would obstruct the upper socket, but the base also blocks the ground on the upper sockets in our house. The base unit remains in the wall when you pick up the light. The light unit sits in the base. That being said, we have had no issues with the light tipping or being knocked out of the base. Nor have we had issues with people walking into or dislodging the base from the wall socket. It is on the most trafficked hallway in the house, too. I am happy with the secure fit of the base into the wall socket and with the light into the base. I have not tested the longevity of the light in a power failure type situation, but this light is not intend for prolonged use in those situations. We have flashlights and LED lanterns for prolonged use. In our home, this is intended for immediate illumination, then restoring it to its place after we can get to the longer lasting solutions.

Not bad, but could use some improvements
Pros: The night light is very bright, which I like. Cons: Once it senses motion it comes on for about 20 sec and then shuts off regardless if it senses motion again after is already been triggered. The charge base plug does not swivel, so if you have an outlet that is mounted sideways, this will not work as the light would fall out. The charging base is oval shaped so the flashlight has to face forward and can not be rotated to point in different direction (other than facing backwards).

Needs more Customer Facing Thought
As a product, it's one of the few I could find easily on Amazon to meet my criteria, so they manage to game the algorithms to get listed first, but it does have the all the features I was looking for. I wanted something that would charge until I needed it, act like a night light, and can be an emergency flashlight. Unfortunately it's missing or has questionable design features that would make it a better product. First, the motion sensor, it has a 3 meter range, fairly skimpy. It does sense motion, so this works, but it could have a longer sensing range of 6 meters. The plug-in charging base is huge. If I were to plug this in on a stair case, it could be in the way. So its not designed for places that could get bumped. As it is now, I think the product is better designed to be used with an extension cord and placed on a table top. It is nice that it is an induction charging system so the flashlight is easily removed from the base with one hand, no need to pull two objects apart which requires two hands; you can simply lift it off the cradle. There is no indicator on the device to tell you if it is charging or the status of the charge or fullness of the charge. This is a big problem and one of the reasons it is missing one of the 5 stars. The light brightness is a pure white light and blinding, so don't look directly at the lights. It's better than yellow dimmed lighting when using it as a flashlight. This can also be a problem because night lights should illuminate the area around the plug and not the whole room, the bright white light can be jarring at night if you are sleepy; it needs a 50% brightness option. Another half star loss. The other half star loss in the rating is because of their warranty. They include a card that says you should complete the product registration to activate the 1 year limited warranty. They provided a QR code and URL to do this. but when you try either one, it brings you to a website that isn't a registration page and there is no way to find the registration page easily. So don't plan to register your product and get the warranty until they fix this.

Very bright.
As others have reported this is extremely bright when it comes on and illuminates a wide area. If you are looking for an emergency light it’s awesome- if you want a discrete night light this isn’t for you.
