Decent cheap box

I bought this box to hold very specific cards for a key cutting (key punch) machine, the HPC 1200PCH - the cards that come with it are labeled PDECK-104 "deck of 104 punch cards". So I was very specific in my measurement needs, and a little worried because I think one of the other reviews indicated they got a differently-sized box than the size listed in the description. However the size box I got was exactly what was listed in the description, which meant it fit my cards perfectly (and is why I'm posting this review, for anyone else with a similar need). I'd say the box's quality is "so-so" or "meh". But for me the measurements were what mattered, and fortunately the description was accurate on those.

Inside measurements just less than 4 by 6

Got this box to decorate as a gift. I was planning to put some pictures inside the box but the inside measurements are just under 4 x 6 so pictures would not fit. Nice light box to use as decoration or place to store small items. The only reason it's not five stars is that I was hoping for an interior where the pictures would fit.

Fine craftsmanship and USA made

It looks well made. Came without a single splinter. I’m using it for decoupage project. I sanded it and it was smooth before and after. So far so good. The metal things are very sturdy and we’re placed very nicely and professionally. I thought it was a little expensive but the quality is great and it’s walnut and made in the US. That was important to me. So I definitely recommend this product. I just ordered more since it’s a quality product.

Nice box, but hinges make it unusable.

The box itself arrived in good condition. Unfortunately, due to the hinges this box is completely unusable for me. The vendor does not show any pictures of the back of the box or otherwise disclose that the hinges are pounded into the wood, not screwed. For many projects, including the ones I intended to use these boxes for, you need to be able to unscrew the hinges and then reattach them to the box once you are done painting/burning/whatevering the wood. I can't remove the hinges from this box and therefore can't use it for my project. I really wish the vendor would clearly disclose this in their product description or add pictures of the hinges. A shame as I like the box otherwise but I can't use it for the crafting purposes it is advertised for. If they had disclosed this ahead of time I could have looked for a different box from the vendor with removable hinges....this was a waste of time. :(

Glue is seen

Not what I imagined. I like to paint movie themed boxes and sell them and this needs work. The glue inside is noticeable so I'm going to figure out how to smooth and cover it.. its not big enough for the price in my opinion either. The wood is thick and not bad, so there's that.

Good quality hobby box

My daughter got this box to give to a friend. We stained it, she painted it with a trendy design and we sprayed it with a finish. This box came out looking like something out of a very trendy store for a lot of money. I was thrilled with the end results and it was a one of a kind with her own personal style. It all starts with a good raw product to work with.

Pretty Nice For the Price

This is a decent little box for the price. It was nicely crafted and fit together well. Remember, you are getting what you are paying for. It suited my needs.

Nicely made, takes the finish you want

What a treat to buy a simple, well made product like this made by civilized folks. It's a tad more expensive than similar items made overseas, but I'd rather buy from U.S.A. as a matter of ethics. This is nicely put together and accepts any decent wood stain / clear wood finish to create a fine presentation box.

sturdy hinges. If you need a wooden box this ...

Not flimsy, I pound the hell out of it on a regular basis. Clean edges/corners, flat bottom, sturdy hinges. If you need a wooden box this size, just buy this thing because you probably won't be able to make one yourself much better.
