Warm and Comfy
I’ve been riding in them for about a week now and the temperatures have been well below freezing most mornings. These have been so warm and comfortable. They have a thicker sole than my paddock boots by Ariat, so it took some adjusting to get used to how they felt in the stirrup. They fit comfortably in my English stirrups and don’t interfere at all with being able to use my legs. I’m 5’1” and just wish they were an inch or so shorter for my short legs, but ultimately can’t complain as they will break in with use and get softer. I would also recommend to go up half a size to allow for thicker socks when you choose to wear them, I typically where a 6.5 and went with the 7 because usually my thicker socks are snug in my 6.5s and with the additional insulation in these I wanted to make sure there would be room. Would highly recommend them!

Seems a little tight when brand new but stretch out in the first wearing

Not as warm as I’d hoped.....
So these boots are Gorgeous and very well made. They look spectacular on and pretty comfortable with a little break in period. BUT, I spent the chunk of change for a winter riding boot to keep my toes warm and I have to say, the lining is minimal and even with fleece lined socks my feet are still cold! ???? I Discided that maybe my feet are just always cold? But I do have to say, the lining really seems minimal and wonder if I should have gotten an actual Fleece Lined boot. These are like a light foam padding with a thin layer of flannel so....anyways, i trail ride so I am not constantly moving in a trotting or cantering exercise to stay warm, so when we r not moving out I really start to feel the cold in my feet. If I hadn’t already broke them in and muddied them, I would return and get a fleece line boot. Haven’t tested their waterproof qualities yet....BEAUTIFUL bolt for sure though!! Four stars for everything else. Two stars for warmth.

Impeccable quality, WOW!
Looking for the perfect winter riding boots since May to replace my fave discontinued boot that will likely die soon. I tried about 17 pairs, various brands, etc. and all but 2 of them went back. Requirements include; All day comfort, excellent arch support, allowance for slightly different size calves, good schooling boot, attractive, easy on and off, muck proof and warm in winter. Out of the box these were the most comfortable boots I've ever tried. They are great for winter riding, barn chores, mud and town (after hosing off). Super footbed and sole, similar to Ariat Volant and Vortex boots, maybe better? Love the adjustability of the laces. The zipper does not extend all the way down the heel, so can require slight loosening of the laces to get into and a boot jack to get off, but really not a deal breaker as the foot is fully waterproof. I prefer a black dressage boot and wasn't wild about the styling, but I get stopped everywhere I go to ask about them and they are the most comfy AND functional boot I own. I'm buying a second pair.

True riding/hiking boot, not just fashion.
Skeptical. I was skeptical... When I read "riding boot" any more I think either "equestrian fashion boot" or a riding boot that's impossible to actually hike in. I ride horses for a living, so riding footwear is a big part of my life. (And the bain of my existence somedays.) I needed a warm, SAFE pair of boots that I could truly ride in during the fall/early winter on terrain (hills and mountains) and be able to actually hike in on same said terrain when leading my horse. The sole is a bit chunky to be a 100% safe in a stirrup, but not so luggy it's a foot trap. The flip-side of a lower heel and grippy sole is walking comfort and traction. Day after day of legit use in the most rugged backcountry in the nation...they worked. I'm beyond pleased for the investment. Ariat has an awesome footbed that kept me comfortable. The fact they look bad*ss is major bonus;)

Reliable Comfortable Supportive
I love how high the boot comes up my calf, I do wish there was a zipper flap to keep the zipper sensation off my leg. I love the Water proof and warm feeling I can walk and ride well. I do wish the tongue was attached higher up to allow walking through higher levels of water if needed. Right now ankle height is the limit. I love the length of the laces and that they can be tucked comfortably. I can wear my short or tall thin socks and they don’t slide. I can’t comment for under 40 degree weather yet. I have thick calves so I appreciate the wide range of adjustability these boots provide. Would purchase again or invest a bit more in another Ariat boot

Beautiful and comfortable but not for winter
Beautiful boot that was extremely comfortable right out of the box with no break in period, BUTTTTT they unfortunately are not warm as expected. I trail ride for two hours in 40 degree temps and my toes were pretty cold by the end. Will have to wear thicker socks to be sufficient in winter so hopefully they remain comfortable with thick socks. If not they’ll make a great spring early fall boot

What a boot, definitely worth the price, outstanding quality. Go on, you know you deserve them...
An outstanding boot of course, A beautiful fit for madame, who loves them. a perfect Christmas present madame said. We'd tried them on in a shop a few weeks earlier and they didn't have her size in stock. We decided they were too expensive anyway (with that Christmas present plan taking shape!) They arrived quickly well-packaged and with the strong plastic shoe horn thingies to keep them in good shape when not being worn AND a lovely canvas bag to keep them in. Practically an investment at this price, but worth it. Totally recommended. 2022 UPDATE: Well nothing lasts forever. It shows that these were made in Vietnam, the low quality stitching saw these fall apart in year 4. Okay, 4 years is not too bad for an item of footwear, but these were NOT worn daily and are NOT cheap. Note: nothing to do with leather care (we're good at that in this house too) it's the actual stitching that failed. Madame is nine stone something as well. Poor show ARIAT. Consequently these arel - with the benefit of 4+ years of experience - now a lot LESS recommended.

Beautiful Boot and well made!
Very nice boot. I only have been walking around the house with them. They are very comfortable and I love that I can adjust the calf size by simply tighten the laces. Expensive but I think well worth it so far!

Super comfy and warm
Really great boots. Keep my feet toasty warm (Pacific Northwest weather). I use them mostly while coaching and the Ariat footbed is super comfy. Fits true to size and classic Ariat fit. Also fine for just jumping on for a quick school, and super for hacking out in the winter. Laces on front and zipper in back make it easy to custom fit to calf. Love these and highly recommend.
