Great Grill - Easily Converted for RV Quick Connect
This is a great little grill. I bought this to replace the grill that came with my RV. It took almost three months to receive the grill from Amazon as it was back ordered; not the grill's fault. The grill came well packaged, but upon inspection I noticed an extra piece on the bottom of the box. This extra piece turned out to be the thermostat that connects to the face plate on the front of the lid. A quick call to the manufacturer resolved this as they promptly registered my grill, sent out the new parts via FedEx and provided me with an order number for reference. The instructions were pictures for the most part and were easy enough to follow. The grill assembled in about 20 minutes. I connected it to a standard 20lb LP tank and fired it up on high with the lid closed to burn off the oil and let it cool down. I did this a second time for good measure. The parts are all high quality and solid. The cast iron grate looked to be seasoned well, but as with all cast iron it's important to continue to maintain it and I will. The legs and sides are also quickly removable and store underneath the grill in predesignated spots. This is perfect for folding everything up to put back in the storage compartment of my RV. However, there's no way to secure the lid and any stock pictures you see of someone carrying this thing by the handle isn't very practical. I use a bungi cord to keep the lid closed during transport and this seems fine to me, but is a design flaw. As I said, I bought this to replace my terrible RV grill, so it needed to be converted for use with my RV's LP Gas quick connect system. The LP regulator for this grill is built into the hose near the propane tank connection, which makes this conversion very easy. Simply removing this hose from the gas control on the grill and replacing it with a low pressure RV LP gas quick connect hose is all you need. I used the following parts to complete this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IZCNN72 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004MYFPAK

Cooks well but very unreliable lighting, maybe dangerous
Once it's lit, for a small, single burner bbq it cooks well. Very convenient size. From early on, it was hard to get the gas going. I called and was sent supplemental instructions for a slow way to start up the gas. Basically, every time I shut down the grill at the tank, the next time I have to disconnect the hose, reconnect it after a wait, then slowly turn up the gas. I have just not been turning off the valve on the tank between usages. Probably not the safest thing to do. Now, after a couple of years of fairly limited use, there is a second problem. When I press the ignitor button, instead of a series of clicks and then ignition, I hear nothing, that is, no clicking. But something must be happening. After 30 seconds or so, the gas catches in one big whoosh. I have to be standing as far back as I can while still keeping a finger on the ignitor button. I'm afraid of getting my hair singed if I'm too close. Once lit, the bbq cooks normally. I am now spending $45 to replace the hose, regulator, and ignitor. I hope this fixes the problems that should never have occurred in the first place..

Great BBQ
Easy to assemble. The only thing I have an issue with is the removable legs don't really stay in the storage area. One of the clips was broken when I got it. It really does not matter to me since I will leave this on my balcony.

Great Fathers Day gift!!
All in all worked great!!! A little on the heavy side. Hard to find portable grill with warming rack like this! It's like a normal sized BBQ so it worked great. Cooked 2 tri tips on top and a bunch of chicken on the bottom! Hubby was happy!

The three burner model (952654) appears to be out of stock and replacement parts cannot be found..
Expensive for the size but has: Three burners for indirect cooking without requiring a pan. Two cast iron grills. A warming tray that is attached to and swings up with the lid. Two small folding side shelves. Easy pop off legs for transporting as a portable. Three "Flav-R- Wave" Shields for burning dripping fat. A grease tray that can be removed for cleaning. It is made of substantial metal and should not require frequent replacement. It has the highest Consumer Reports on line rating for small grills and appears to be sturdy. After three years the warming grill required replacement but parts for this model do not seem to be available.

Perfect for camping
This is a fantastic little portable barbecue. I picked this up to take camping with us. It has a single burner which runs horizontally under the grill. It has a piezo-electric starter and I will be interested to see how long it lasts. The heat is reasonably adjustable and, given the single burner it heats up fairly evenly. It is heavier than it looks so don't expect to carry it for any long distance. I also find that the plastic side shelves do not stay on the bottom when everything is packed up. My only recommendation is that you be very careful about the hose you get with it. It comes with a standard but very short hose with a regulator for connecting to a 20lb propane tank. However, I needed to connect mine to the quick release fitting on my trailer. Therefore you need to remove the existing hose (and regulator) and replace it with a hose that has a 3/8" female fitting on the BBQ end, and a standard male quick release fitting on the trailer end. You don't want a regulator on this hose because there is a regulator on the trailer. These hoses are not easy to come by. Fortunately, I found one at a nearby RV retailer. The hose that is shown by Amazon as being "frequently bought together" is NOT the correct hose for the above purpose.

Portable BBQ
Purchased for taking when we go camping. We like the portability and that the components stay attached to the BBQ when transporting. While not a large cooking area it is large for a portable unit. It has a warming rack which we use a lot and liked as a feature. We found that this unit works as good as our large Broil King just in a more portable version. You will notice I have not used the word compact because I don't feel this is compact but it is portable. Many of the compact units we have seen are constructed very flimsy something this unit is not. It is a solid unit that should stand up to travelling well. That's why we purchased it.

Had one before and loved it. New one came with crappy wire grill
Had one before and loved it. New one came with crappy wire grill , not the porcelain coated cast iron grill shown in the picture. Shame on you Amazon, not happy about this Update after a dozen uses: This thing is a piece of crap. I can no longer get it past 200 degrees F. Tried the trouble shooting suggestions and still get a tiny flame. Broil King used to be amazing, my old porta chef lasted almost 10 years but this unit absolutely sucks

Unfortunately there was a piece missing for the portable BBQ. I also know that another customer had returned it as the package had not been re-packed the proper way. The assembly was going to be problematic for me, so I returned it. The return was no problem at all and my card was quickly credited. I am very thankful for that. Good but not good
The bbq was great as I expected because I saw one in use. However, the one I saw was hooked up to the 5th whl on board propane system. Mine however was meant to use the small green bottles. (A pain). I looked all over to find an adapter fitting to hook it to a hose after I removed the regulator. No one has them as that pipe size is not made in North America, only China. I had to settle for an adapter hose to a 20 # tank (another pain) . I was in a propane shop in Red Deer, AB and saw this bbq on display. They told me that they used to get that bbq from you with on board propane fittings and hose but now they just receive the one I received. What is the deal with that?
