I have plaque psoriasis of the scalp. I purchased this device to do a better job than a brush of breaking it up and getting it off my scalp and hair. Upon use it broke it up and got it off my scalp and out of my hair. it felt good, so I continued to use it, and it stopped the edge of the psoriasis. Amazingly, and also stop the psoriasis. As a bonus, my hair started growing in thicker, and it suddenly grew longer. I am in the process of buying another one just in case the one I own as a malfunction. I think that says about all you can say to prove that I am in favor of just the bars. It’s great for your hair. It’s great for your scalp. It feels good it cured my psoriasis is picking my hair grow my hair long or what more can I ask for?

Cute, water tight.
It doesn't shock me in the shower, so???? I have thinning hair & I'm not crazy about the silocone teeth, they catch on my hair a bit & I can't afford to loose one single strand. The vibration is great though, so if I don't comb ith through my hair, just move it from spot to spot, it's good. I don't know if it works to restore or keep hair, but my scalp feels good:)

Update: I lowered my rating to three stars because they increased their price dramatically. You can get the same exact product with different labeling for $17.99 from another seller (Vanity Planet) right here on Amazon. At today's price, that is 1/2 the cost! So why four stars if the product is so great? We purchased two; the one used daily is still going strong, and the one used twice a week failed at nine months! However, I am still repurchasing. Why? My daughter was on prescription shampoo for dandruff, $50 a month after insurance. After two uses, she could replace the prescription shampoo with regular shampoo (you shampoo, then use this to get the shampoo to the scalp). Second, I was losing my hair, and there was little progress, even with products to help. Since using this, hair loss has slowed significantly, and new hairs are growing in! So I took one star off for quality control.

I like how it works, but the battery compartment definitely isn't waterproof.
Of course, it never says waterproof anywhere on the product description or documents. I read all the negative reviews about water leaking into the battery chamber so I was prepared. Still couldn't find another vibrating scalp massager (or didn't want to invest the time into researching others) so I just said I'd be careful with it, and I am. And that's how you need to use this product, unfortunately. Very carefully. You have to keep it out of the water stream and you have to probably remove the bottom part and wipe water away every time or every other time you use it. This will keep it pristine but it's definitely kind of annoying. I don't understand why in the world you'd make a product that clearly would be used in the shower and at the very least, needs a quick rinsing after use to remove shampoo and conditioner residue...NOT WATERPROOF. They put a little like, gasket sealer on the inside of the battery chamber but it doesn't do much at all. As mentioned, I'm very ginger with this and normally I remove the whole bottom part and wash/rinse that, keeping the battery unit untouched. I wipe the outside with a damp paper towel or cloth if there's residue on it. One day, to experiment, I did a very quick gentle rinse of the unit without removing the bottom part. Like maybe 3-4 seconds. Shook excess water off. Afterwards, checked the unit and battery chamber and yes, water had gotten in even from that quick rinse. In EVERY other aspect this thing is frickin' GREAT, five stars. But there has got to be a better way, maybe a gasket seal where the bottom part screws into the battery unit? Or, maybe if screwing it in just kept water out like, you know, how bottles and jars work. Or maybe an extra layer of something over the battery chamber access in between the bottom part and the battery unit to make it even just a smidge more water resistant at the very least. I'm tempted to find a thin gasket seal for glass jars and see if it can fit in there and still close. Anyway, I don't understand why this wasn't considered in the design. It kinda blows my mind. This is still a fairly good product in all other ways, but if you're going to use it, commit to being careful with it and taking it apart, wiping it, and/or checking the battery unit almost every single time you use it. Otherwise it WILL look like the rest of these negative review photos of nasty rusted battery chambers. I do know they have a new updated design, but I think it might also still have a rusty battery chamber photo gallery. Do check before you get this older model, maybe the newer one is much more water resistant or even waterproof?

It's a great product for the scalp, helps with circulation of blood flow, especially around the edges. I have seen improvement of my hair growth, very relaxing and soothing.

This product is literally a pure piece of luxury, I am so glad I found it. I massage my scalp with this and I can honestly say the nights when I use it I actually sleep better - which is a bonus as I had purchased this for scalp massage for hair growth.. Very expensive for what it is
This is a very expensive item to what it is, after reading a number of reviews and doing research it appeared this would be a great investment, however this is a overpriced brush, what made it worse, a battery was not included, I would have expected a battery to come with it at the price of £22.00 +...
