Master lock
It's a master lock, so I'll leave it pretty much there. This one is a little different in that turning the key move the latch the opposite way. No lefty/righty here. Works well for our application.

This is generally a solid lock, and very difficult to cut (though probably not that hard to pick). I know, in part, because we had to cut one off after it froze up, due to the mechanism rusting internally when left (only partially) exposed to the weather for a couple years. (We couldn't, even with professional tools. We ended up cutting through and replacing the gate parts, which were a far easier target than the lock.) Be advised also that the WARRANTY WILL NOT BE HONORED in any meaningful way. Masterlock's warranty actually covers a replacement if the lock freezes up and has to be cut off; however, when I tried to do so, they claimed not to make this lock anymore and thus could not provide us with a replacement. They further claimed not to make anything like it (not quite true, it turned out). When pushed, they offered a non-weatherproof, non-cut-resistant (and much cheaper) conventional lock (useless for my application). When pushed further -- it ultimately took 3 weeks of back-and-forth slow-response emails -- they claimed not to make anything even remotely similar anymore. Eventually we found a rotary model they still made, cut- and weather-resistant, which they sent. It turned out to have too thick a shackle (they didn't clarify its details before sending) and I wasn't actually able to use it (though it was at least in the same class of lock that I needed replaced). Overall, a pretty poor bit of customer service. If possible, I'd certainly recommend going with another brand.

Excellent and easy to use
My second one. The first one survived 24/7 exposure for thirteen years in area with four seasons. Honestly, it was still solid but one key bent and plastic protective case broke (recall this thing sees all temperatures outside 24/7) so it seemed time to replace.

PRO and CONS
Pro is it will physically block a simple bolt-cutter attack to the slide part of storage unit locks. (The thin part at the hole where you hang the padlock.) That's a silent, 2 minute break-in with a $5 pocket tool. CONS are not as beefy as it should be (not 1/2" hasp,) and oh yeah, takes about 15 seconds to pick (like 99.9% of all padlocks.) And it will not protect the sliding lock assembly itself from a brute-force attack. If you want security, back it up with an internal deadbolt (security remote control), an automatic camera to catch the bugger, and a siren to scare the begeezus out of him.

Looks nice, just don't use if for anything you really care about.
This is a nice looking lock. It looks like it should be pretty hard to break, I don't know... didn't try to break it. The problem is that it can be picked in seconds by someone with little or no skill. How do I know? I'm someone with no lock picking skills, and I opened it easily. It sill might be fine for your needs, just be aware it's not one of the most secure options out there.

It was necessary to put things in storage for a while. I wanted a good solid lock to safe guard my things. Master has always been the brand to go to.

It hasn't been cut yet
Its been around a month since I bought the lock for my work locker. They haven't been able to cut it yet so I'd say its a good value for money. I have no clue about weather proofing or anything like that, but so far so good for indoor usage.
