Hard as a rock, feels like you're in a highchair

It's quite, it's smooth operating and you'll wear it out fast because there in no way God's green earth are you going to be able to sit in in very long. Remember those plastic molded chairs in the cafeteria's and cheesy offices? Add 2 inches of your favorite car tire then sit down and relax. Yeah buddy.... Michelin ain't got nothin' on this for a cushy ride. It does indeed work. And it's quite too. Great gift for someone you don't really like. :) IF you're the creative type, with a lot of work you could possibly tear apart your chair and mount it inside somehow. Or get a really low sitting chair and add at least 4 inches of foam and then make a cover for it and you could get along with it. I mean if you can't afford a lift chair this will work. For how long I have no idea. The fact remains there is a serious comfort area that's been missed in the design. Think of a chair and how one is put together. Right before they put in the cushion they say DONE! Just a hair softer than our beloved molded chairs. Definitely overrides any comfort built into the chair its placed upon. Also you can't use it in anything that moves... including your car. Picture one of these in your car. I'd buy a power inverter just to entertain the kids. I can see nose prints on the windshield already. You also can't use it in the pool. It'll sink like a rock for one. And it is electric. Now that would be a power lift! Check before you buy. Some places have HUGE restocking fees. Hey, Amazon takes 15% of the income right off the bat. Then if they ship it free well when it's time to take it back all they can hope for is maybe getting some of the shipping back. And it's hefty. Can't wait to find out how much I paid just so I could write this review. This company was nice to me. I like them. I understand their plight. So I give them a good rating. And it IS a quality built item but it's just not fit for human use is all. Okay... maybe 10 minutes for the ride. If you're having problems getting up you're likely having problems getting around. That means you'll be sitting a lot. Trust me, you won't be very happy sitting on this. No way no how. Nice idea but has room for a LOT of "comfort" improvement. Save your money and buy a real lift chair or be prepared to make a chair around this. I could do it. Duct tape, lots of foam and one of those lovely orange cafeteria chairs I seem so fond of. It'll go well with the deep blue polyester cover that barely fits. It'll follow you around I'm sure. Like toilet paper in your shoe. Good reason to stay in bed.

I almost spent $2,600 on a full featured lift chair!

Yes. I almost spent $2,600 on a full featured lift chair. I shopped around Medical Supply stores in different zip codes. I contacted my doctor. I even checked with my health care provider to determine whether "either" would approve need and/or payment for a lift chair. However, since I travel, spend time with my friends and family, I needed something more flexible, durable, and much more cost effective. And for less than $200, I found what I was looking for on Amazon PRIME; the Carex Upeasy Power Seat. I purchased the first Carex Upeasy Power Seat to use at a family member's house because I needed more help with lifting myself up and out of her furniture than I needed with help lifting up and out my furniture at home. For ease, I ended up purchasing two Carex Upeasy Power Seats. I still have not spent $2,600. I recommend the Carex Upeasy Power Seat for the following reasons: 1. It is portable. 2. Its electronic hydraulic system lifts up to 350lbs. 3. The device comes with a left and right arm for ease lifting and calapsing. 4. I actually purchased a lift seat that was made by a different manufacturer that was not electrical, however, that seat was hard to set and use. That is why I purchased the second Carex Upeasy Power Seat for use at my home. 5. The Carex Upeasy Power Seat fits in most all chairs. 6. The mechanics of this seat are very sturdy. 7. The Carex Upeasy Power Seat lifts me until I am safely standing up on my feet. This is the main reason I purchased this seat. I no longer have to wait for someone to help me get out of a chair. 8. I saved $2,400 on a lift seat. The only thing I don't like about the Carex Upeasy Power Seat is that when sitting on the Carex Upeasy Power Seat for a long time my butt aches. lol

Chairs do not fit your back in a comfortable way, when using this product.

I hate this product. It was made cheaply and very slow moving. When you placed it in a chair, the chair no longer fit your back. I also tried it on a dining room chair, and the top of the back of the chair cut into my back. I have no good to say about it. Waste of money.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS MANUFACTURER

The chair lift arrived yesterday and I was so excited to try it out because my arthritis make it almost impossible for me to stand. I really wanted to order a full lifting recliner chair but unfortunately it's not in my budget. I'm 75 years old and live alone. The chair lift arrived quickly, but to my surprised it would not turn on. I tried it in almost every outlet in my home and nothing. I call the manufacturer, Carex, and they gave me different things to try to get it going but it would never come on. Finally Carex realized that it was a defected item BUT refused to offer a replacement or refund. They said due to covid they couldn't take it back. I begged for a refund. I don't have $100 just to throw away. They refused. I called Amazon and they said the manufacturer will not refund. The next morning I was forced to call my daughter to help me with this. We have been on the phone with Amazon for over an hour and they were still not trying to refund this broken item. My daughter read through all of the refund policies and found this" "If the seller's listing is eligible for Amazon Prime, it will be subject to the same return policies as items fulfilled by Amazon.com". The Amazon rep finally issued a refund and instructed me to throw the item away because the manufactory don't want it back. Please DO NOT BUY FROM CAREX unless you want to throw your money down the drain and be stuck with a broken product.

Strong and comfortable

I bought this to use for a friend who comes to visit. It works great BUT is not something you can take with you to events because it has to be plugged in. For home use it is a great value
