Great practical accessory, very easy to use

Bought this as a “work expense” as I frequently have trouble keeping track of time, and watches tend to help with that. I didn’t need anything fancy and tend towards older aesthetics of fashion, so my first thought was to get a Casio. I needed something cheap that did the job, and boy did this thing exceed my expectations! The band is made of stainless steel, so no need to worry about durability, and the watchface itself is clear and precise. It’s incredibly easy to adjust the band, you just need a small flathead screwdriver to pop open a flap so you can move the clasp. I have tiny wrists, and it was really easy to fit the band to my size. It keeps time very well, I only need to sync it every month or so as it tends to desynchronise by about a second or so around that point. The light is nothing fancy, but it’s an endearing part of the thing. It’s been incredibly useful to me to help get to events on time, and a instrumental part of my days. I haven’t been late to work since!

A small somewhat outdated classic digital watch

Like almost all Casio digital watches, this one is a pleasure to use. It keeps great time and is the "fancier" F91W having a silver tone plastic case and a stainless steel band. The watch seems more for a woman, tween, or teen, given the rather small size. Saying that, the A158 makes for a great first digital watch. Other than being small, the only con is that the light feature for seeing the time in the dark is remarkably weak. A better bet for many would be the Casio A168 model which is a tad bigger, has an updated light feature that makes it easily readable in the dark, the same timing features, and is not much different in price.

Good watch

I have been wearing this style watch for at least twenty years. I jog and use a stop watch, good band, easy to set. It is inexpensive and if it breaks or is lost ,not a catastrophe .They usually last a long time.

It’s a Casio

This watch is great nothing fancy but it’s tough and holds time and the light is pretty neat I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice watch but doesn’t want to pay a ton of money

Good Watch

This is a solid watch for the price, you can never go wrong with Casio. Take it off when you wash your hands though as the band can get irritating if you have damp wrists.

Dial light insufficient.

Compact, lightweight, accurate time keeping with easy to adjust band are all features I like. Dial light only lights up hour side of display. Can't read minutes when using light. Is this normal or is my unit malfunctioning? I like the soft blue backlight of my 6 year old casio which still works.

Great Watch, Does Pull Hair

Fantastic watch worthy of its reputation! Unfortunately, it does pull my hair, which combined with the subpar backlight docks 1 star. If neither of those bother you, it's a fantastic watch!

Simple, minimalistic everyday watch.

Really nice steel variant of the F91W. The clasp is pretty easy to adjust once you get the hang of it, and the steel gives it a nice, classy look to it. The clasp itself feels pretty cheap, but for this price point, you can't expect Oystersteel. I liked the watch a lot but ended up returning it as the clasp can only be adjusted at set increments, and it was inbetween being too tight and too loose, but for most people they will find this comfortable.

The piercing beeps of the alarm wake you from your reverie. You are standing behind the counter at the record store and the alarm means that your shift is over. You look down at the sleek clean lines of the high tech silver watch by Casio and it truly is five PM, quitting time. You shuffle a pile of Madonna and Tears for Fears albums out of the way, and grab up some junk to bring to the stock room. Cleaning up, you spill water on the watch, no matter, just a wipe with the towel and good as new. You check the time in the dim room using the handy backlight, not really the best but works in the dark, the darker the better. You are meeting everyone down at the arcade and don't want to be late. Lately you have been using the stopwatch to time games on Pac-Man with the gang. You love being part of the future as Lionel Ritchie serenades you out of the store.....

A Classic is always is in vogue.

This one's a classic. Styles may come and go this Vintage Casio will always have its own ardent followers. I am love understated but high on performance watches and this fits the bill. I received prompt delivery by seller Crystalarc Lifestyle and the piece was packed properly. In fact I got one from a relatively new manufactured batch.

Counterfeit item. Please read this review before purchasing.

I buy a lot of goods from Amazon, including Casio watches. The product I received is a fake. The product is flimsy (I know this is a relatively inexpensive watch), however, it is cheap even by Casio standards. As far as I am aware, all Casio timepieces are sold with at least a box or sleeve - such as a velvet pouch. This product was in a flimsy plastic bag with no branding. The cardboard you can see in the photos is as crap as it really appears. I wanted this watch as a complement to my collection of G-Shocks and other Casio watches, but this is going straight back to Amazon for a refund. For the record, after an extensive search I cannot find a page on Amazon to report counterfeit goods so hopefully, this review will serve as a warning to potential buyers not to buy this watch. Save your money and get an authentic model!
