Great move for the construction industry

Been in the commercial/industrial construction industry for 20 years. The move to a "climbing" style hard hat is one of the best PPE moves we have made. I was never a fan of baseball or full brim style hard hats. The comfort level and added protection of this style hard is well worth the change. If you are worried about the looks of your hard hat, you may want to reconsider your professional choices. This 3M X5000 is superior quality. The harness system is the most comfortable I have worn. The ability to add a visor and not have a brim in my way while working overhead is huge. The only reason for the 4 star is because 3M advertises this hat to have a magnetic chin strap connection and the hat I received is a buckle. Not a huge deal, but I could see the magnetic latch being beneficial.

Not the quality I expected

Have bought 3M secured it helmet in the past but this one was not of the same quality as my previous one

Challenging Product

No clear instructions on how to mount accessories. Once I figured out how to do it, then things were great.

Very comfortable / lightweight.

As in the title it’s lightweight and comfortable. I’ve used it briefly a couple of times although I believe it will endure medium duty work. Works for me.
