Great, little pouch

A lot of other reviewers seem to be complaining about the fact that this is a very small pouch. It's supposed to be a very small pouch! Know what you're buying, but do be aware that most current phones will not fit, as screens have been getting larger lately. If you want a pouch for that, check out the Condor Gadget Pouch, but this is still a great pouch for other niche applications. Whether you're using this for small kits or just looking to add a tad of misc. external storage, this is a great little pouch. It attaches ideally via two MOLLE webs via one strap, but it can very easily be put on one single piece of webbing (it will flop around a bit). It would also be a loose but usable fit on a belt, and you can slap it on pretty much any strap or handle on anything you own if you need a little external storage for a camera, spare batteries, phone accessories, a few medical items, etc. I like mine enough that I'll be getting a few more in the near future. These really are small, but having played with one, I can think of a large number of possible uses, both for gear and just EDC stuff. You don't realize how handy this thing can be until you just see what you can cram into it. I would like to point out two great uses. First, the buckle pocket is a nice fit for a lensatic compass, and the zipper pocket has plenty of room for maps and small charting equipment, as long as you don't mind folding your map small. Second, the buckle pocket is a perfect fit for a 4" trauma pressure bandage (aka Israeli Battle Bandage), and you can fit plenty of small bandages and such in the zipper pocket.

A bit to small

I have been on a never ending quest for the perfect edc pouch. Most are to big or have cheap velcro that gives up after 6 months of dauly abuse. I normally carry some kind of folding utility knive, a couple if pens and mechanical pencils, a small leatherman, a pill container, a small aaa flashlight, a spare battery, and a couple of note cards. My needs are a small secure pouch that opens quickly and can hold an extra item or 2 as my needs dictate. This came pretty close. It is way too short to hold even my smallest pen (a zebra 701). It also is thickly padded which makes ut a bit bulkier than it really needs to be. Construction is great and the zippers and buckles are well built and solid. The velcro front closure is decent and the expandable buckle is a great idea. Unfortunately this pouch didnt quite fit my needs. 1 star off for the bulkiness despite the small size and the molle strap snap was not centered. As for the padding this would very nicely protect anything put into it.

Too small for I phone / smaller than advertised

Condor I pouch is miss leading, will not fit my I phone, way too short. Not that is actually says I phone pouch but it is misleading. My pouch is not anywhere close to 5" / 14cm meaning it should have fit my I phone at 5.1 inches, my pouch measures 4.5" and will not come close to stretching over my I phone. The main compartment back has stiff piece sewn in, makes it rigid. The front has some padding sewn in. The main compartment has two sleeve type additional pockets, one is mess too see what is inside, the other is not. Lined with a very light fleece. The front pocket has velcro to keep things snug inside along with a buckle, the buckle does not secure the main compartment. The PALS align with other PALS, this is one issue I have seen with Condor, sometimes theirs does not fit with others, sewn 1/4 to 1/2 inch off. I wanted something to carry my I phone on my belt camping, hiking, fishing, hunting for easy access Vs having it in a pocket. This will not work. But, I put a small multitool in one of the small sleeve pockets,, small knife sharpener in the other and headlight in the main compartment. In the smaller front compartment bandaids, roll of tape, safety pins, sun screen. Meaning for a kit pouch is pretty good but not for cell phones.

Not bad

I use it for work to keep my leatherman, lock out tag out lock, and flashlight in on my belt. I’ve had two in the past 5 years. So it’ll last doing whatever you need. I’ve put that bad boy through the ringer.

The best pouch for Baofeng UV-5R

I was looking at several different pouches for my Baofeng BF-F8HP with its regular battery, which has the same size as UV-5R. And tried a couple from very cheap to a costly one. I really like this pouch - the radio sits there great, and the pouch covers it fully (in case of rain or snow). There's also a room to connect an external mic if needed, and another pocket has plenty space for the additional regular battery. The quality is also very good, and zippers work fine. So I recommend it to UV-5R owners. It works!

Not too big. This is just what I was looking for in an EDC pouch for urban emergency items. This will not replace a go-bag or a get-home bag, but it will allow you to have useful items on your person at all times. Update 6-16-18: This pouch is still going strong with no sign of stopping. I have worn this on my belt, packed to the max, every day for over a year and not a single feature has failed. It is a different color now due to dirt and such but that just adds character. You can not go wrong with this item, particularly at this price. Update 2-7-19: Still Going strong. I have tried other pouches in an attempt to gain more capacity. None of them have lasted. I have thus resolved to purchasing another one of these pouches and having two small pouches on my belt instead of one bigger one. This pouch is the real deal. Also, for those people concerned about the button attachment: This thing has never once "popped-off" of my belt, even during very harsh conditions and working environments.

Well made, but this is a small pouch

The quality of this pouch is exceptional, and a good advertisement for Helikon quality. It is similar in quality to Maxpedition gear, which is saying a lot. I would estimate 1000D nylon, very nice zips, and solidly stitched. But this is a small pouch - quite narrow and just enough for a small camera or an iphone, and no more. I would suggest one of their larger pouches for most uses. Note it comes with a strap to connect to Molle gear - no need for an ALICE clip.
