Cambro 6 qt container is good quality and made in USA!

I have 2 of these containers, 1 is to mix rye bread, the other is to mix white bread from The New Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day cookbook. I am very pleased with the Cambro containers.

Works great!

I bought the New Artisan bread in 5 minutes cookbook and ordered this to use with the master dough recipes. It works great and I had my husband drill a small hole as Zoe suggested to let the gases escape. Otherwise, leaving the lid cracked, it sometimes came loose and the dough would dry out a bit, but this is a great container to use with their recipes. It’s in my fridge now filled with dough for my next bread.

Great for bread

Pros: large size, lid, sturdy, transparent Cons :a little deep so if you do stretch and fold kneading it’s hard to reach I use this for bread dough , like I can mark on it with a grease pencil to check for risen height. Probably could have used the 4qt a little easier

Perfect for Bread, and storage of dough in refrigerator

This is the second one we bought (we gave the first one away to the grandkids). Easy to make bread, let it rise in this container, and can store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Take out a piece before dinner and make fresh bread. Although I would not recommend the dishwasher, we did run it through once with no ill effects. NOTE: for bread rising purposes you need to drill a small hole (say 3/16") or use an awl to puncture the lid for venting purposes (very easy, could use tip of knife or scissor). Does it's job well. The grandkids like it. Makes it easy to make bread in 20 minutes (after it's risen of course). Flour/dough sticks a bit but you can clean easily with hot water.

Great tub for making bread and other doughs

The tub at 6 quarts is more than adequate for most bread recipes. given that it is somewhat translucent, it is easy to see how much the dough has risen during bulk fermentation. The snap on lid keeps the rising dough from drying out to due to dehydration. Highly recommended.

Overall, I love and would recommend it

I found this container worked perfectly as a dough proofing coatainer. The dough rose beautifully, and having the lid eliminates the need for Saran wrap, always a good thing. Just coat with cooking spray or coat with oil and it works wonderfully. The dough rose beautifully and stayed well risen. I also love the handles, that make it so easy to move the dough back to the working area after it has risen. The first time I used it I made a small dough so the measurements weren't that useful. But for larger doughs (as I used the second time) the measurements on the side are extremely useful in knowing when you dough has doubled in size. The only issue I had was with the stickers that were on top of it when it arrived. There were 3. 2 of them came off easily. But the last was really STUCK. After letting it soak , I was able to peel the paper part off bit was left with a glue patch I still could not get off. I tried with a mixture of water, vinegar and dishwashing liquid, as I found an online site suggesting that. It did remove the glue completely, but I was left with a permanent mark where it had once been. LOVE this proofing container. It works beautifully and I will for sure keep using it., and enjoy what comes out of it. But the discoloration in the top makes me unhappy.

only one in the box but title in french says pack of two, very disapointed, avoid this seller

J'avais vu "Lot de 2 housses Cambro, 6 Quart With Lid" dans le titre je n ai donc pas fait attention aux détails de cette vente et j'aurai dû. Rendu là c est quasiment de la fraude, le titre en annonce deux pour ce prix, les détails en indiquent un seul, bien déçu, avoir vu qu'il y en avait qu'un pour ce prix, je n'aurai pas commandé, bien trop cher pour un seul. Je ne recommande pas. I ve seen "pack of two" in the title of this product so i didn t went to read the details, i should have, the title and the details aren t saying the same thing, i feel scammed, i wouldn t have bought this one if the title (in french) said it was only one box for that price, way too expensive for only one. I don t recommand this seller.
