High quality knife block

We have a small collection of Wusthof knives, but unfortunately we had to get rid of our original knife block that came with the set after living in a roach-infested apartment and finding the bugs inside the block. After several years of making due without a block and acquiring a few additional knives, we decided we really needed a new, bigger block. This one is beautiful, well made, and more affordable than the competition. It's deep enough for our 10" chef knife and has plenty of space to add to our collection if needed. Very satisfied with this purchase!

Plenty of spaces for knives & scissors

I was able to place almost all my large knives, steak knives, paring knives, long bread knife, & my new poultry scissors, but the slot for a cleaver looks larger than it really is. I have an average sized cleaver and it doesn't fit unfortunately.

Finally my knives are convenient!

My knives came in a vertical acrylic stand. It looked nice but I had to slide it out from under my cabinets, to remove or put away the knives. That doesn’t sound like a problem but it was annoying. Now I’ve got all my knives, at the ready! I didn’t put my scissors in because the fit wasn’t great. As you can see I’ve got plenty of room if I decide to add to my set. The block is nice and heavy and the quality is apparent. The packaging was fantastic and it arrived in perfect condition.

Rushed productivity

Stain process seemed rushed and it had cracked wood glue along edges. I was hoping for better quality craftsmanship for the money. Color is a bit mahogany with more of a purplish red undertone. I was hoping for more of a modern walnut color. Personal preferences aside, it is large and will hold plenty of cutlery and is a functional item for any kitchen.

The extra slots I gained with this made the two is was using obsolete and saved space.

It’s a big old knife block with a lot of slots.

Good quality

The block has not faded, split, splintered, shrunk in any of the knife slots. All in all it’s a good knife block.

Good knife block, but arrived with cracks between the slots.

Shipped fast, packed well, but arrived with some cracks between the slots. Decided to keep. Holds everything and still have 1 slot empty. When compared to my old knife block, this block looks massive! Would purchase again, but doubt I'd need to as this should last my lifetime.

Holds a lot of knives

This holds all of my knives, including my set of 8 steak knives. Many others knife blocks hold only 6 steak knives, not 8. Also it holds my kitchen shears and knife sharpener, with extra slots to spare. Perfect.

Perfect!

Beautiful looking block. Lots of space for all kinds of knives. I have porterhouse steak knives and was quite impressed that they fit in the block. Usually they don’t due to the width of the blade. Great purchase!
