Alrighty guys. I am not paid by anyone to write this. I LOVE this electric pressure cooker. It is NOT made in China. It is made in Korea. I waited and waited and waited and waited a little bit more to see if there was any product coming on the market to replace the most popular item known as instant pot. I did my research for two years. I read reviews looked at pros and cons. I have done my research and I’m happy with my final decision of buying this electric pressure cooker. The inside is stainless steel and not nonstick coating. Outside is nice and pretty looking. InstructIons are very easy and highly applicable. You don’t need to look for more information online. I just read the manual and the recipe book and I have been using it for two weeks. After two weeks I have realized I have been missing it from my kitchen. My top concern about buying electric pressure cooker was where the manufacturing took place. Now let’s talk about working of the pressure cooker. It has cooked my high heat Indian cooking. It has cooked American food with light sauté. I have posted some pictures of brussels sprouts that I sautéed for dinner. That was my first cooking in the pressure cooker. I loved it. Family loved it. I have made rice and It cooked very well. I have made curry. I have made lentils. I have made yogurt. It is overall a very very very good product. And I am very happy with my purchase. It talks to you. The lady’s voice will tell you what is required for your recipe to start coming together. I do not mind it. She’s very happy. There is also musical start and end of the recipe. I don’t mind that either. It is overall a very very very good product. And I am very happy with my purchase. Very nicely made product and I can cook it all in one go. I have one manual pressure cooker and one electric pressure cooker so far and I think there’s nothing that can stop me now. Cooking Wise. Don’t think twice before buying this. I think this is the only one in the series that has stainless steel inner part. It was my second priority to have it the way it is after the location of manufacturing. enjoy guys. It broke after after 3 years (not quite 4 years)

I purchased this on prime day in 2018 and didnt start using it until mid 2019. It just stopped working recently after 3 years. I’ve only ever used the rice cooking function as I didn't want it to smell. The heating won’t work though the cook function will run its course. Everything else works but it won’t cook. Contacted Cuckoo and they said it was out of warranty and they could send me a unit for $80. Honestly, just to use it to make rice, I don’t think it’s worth the money if it’s going to break down in less than 4 years.

Just okay. Not sure it’s worth the price

I’ve used this a few months now and the rice always comes out with some browning at the bottom. I’ve never had this happen with a brand new rice cooker and have only seen this as the cooker ages. It’s seems to be too hot and I don’t see a way to adjust this setting.

Do not purchase as a primary rice cooker

I've heard rave reviews, particularly from the Korean community both online and in-person about the Cuckoo line of multi-purpose pressure cookers so we decided to give this one a try. On the first impression, build quality is great with solid plastics and metals with included accessories like a measuring cup and rice paddle. We purchased this with the intention of primarily using it as a rice cooker and after a few rounds of cooking and keeping rice warm, the overall impression goes down. The thing speaks to you throughout the whole process from selection of function, pressurizing of the cooker, and even the release of the pressure with simulated pressure release sounds. If purchasing this for use primarily for cooking rice I would steer clear and go for a Zojirushi. It can cook rice, but not to the standard of an almost $200 rice cooker. Uneven cooking, some parts cooked, overcooked, and even undercooked. The keep-warm function has to be the worst. Steam isn't necessarily being released because of the locking mechanism meaning but even when not locked completely and kept on the keep warm function, actual puddles of steam would collect and continue to be absorbed by the rice. By the end of a 3 hour keep warm, almost all the rice would be too soggy to even enjoy. If you plan on using this rice cooker to cook small batches of rice which would be consumed right away this could be the solution of freeing up counter space for a rice cooker/pressure cooker/slow cooker making it perfect for smaller kitchens. Otherwise, if you're particular with your rice and prefer to keep rice warm for several hours skip this pressure cooker and shop for a dedicated rice cooker.

Most useful small kitchen appliance I've ever bought.

Here is what I have been making almost every single week: Chicken stock [Soup button - two cycles]; Steel cut oatmeal with homemade chicken stock [Porridge button]; Cooking meat, esp. chicken [Meat button]; My version of multigrain rice - several kinds of lentils, quinoa, jasmine rice [Steam button]; Cooking kidney beans, black beans, chickpeas for hummus [Multicook Button]; Rice - white/brown [Steam] - I like it more when rice is cooked with Steam button, rather than with Rice button. All of them are absolutely delicious, not to mention that all you have to do is press the right button - zero minute for cooking. Especially, oatmeal porridge, multigrain rice, chicken stock I made with this Cuckoo pressure cooker are the best ones I've tasted. Any meat cooked by Meat button is also superb in flavour. The inner pan is so easy to clean (just careful not to scratch with forks or something.) Unlike regular pressure cookers, black steam, for example, never comes out and makes the surface of the lid black when black beans are cooked. It's because it has double lids. No need to wash the surface of the lid at all - it stays always nice and white. Steam release is very quiet unless you use Multicook button. Within a couple of months, you'll find your own recipes (i.e. setting different minutes and pressure levels for your liking) with each functional button on Menu bar. Anyone who wants to save time to do something else than cooking delicious meals every time will be definitely happy with this product. It would be a great Xmas or bday gift, as well. Highest satisfaction guaranteed - it is more than $100 less than Cuckoo rice cookers, but it's 100 times more useful. Great job, Cuckoo.
