Perfect for the job!

I bought these to make big shelves in my daughter's closes! She has tons of clothes so needless to say I needed something that would be strong enough and these we it!

Solid and as described

Bought a 10 pack of these to put up shelves in my garage. I installed them with the short side against the wall, and used 24” deep shelving boards. Everything came together great and the shelves are very sturdy. NOTE: these do NOT come with any screws. You will need to provide your own screws to connect the brackets to the wall and the shelves to the brackets. Make sure you use heavy duty screws and put them into studs - these are big brackets and will hold a lot of weight if you mount them securely. It would be easy to put too much weight on such big shelves if you don’t use hefty enough screws. All in all these were exactly what I was looking for to build 24” shelves.

So far, so good....

These are holding up two 8' x 2' shelves, so moderately heavy duty, in the garage. And I'd call the brackets "moderately heavy duty". I'm not sure I'd want to sit on the shelf, but I probably could. It won't be holding hundreds of pounds, just dozens. The other, probably somewhat more heavy duty brackets I found on Amazon were a lot more expensive (and Lowes and Home Depot had nothing this big), so I took a chance. Reviews were pretty good. I've seen totally opposite statements about the brace being welded. On the ones I got, the brace fits into a slot, about 3/4 inch long, and is spot welded at one end. Just a little weld, not the whole length of the slot (see picture). The weight of the shelf will work to hold the slot in place - the weld doesn't have to do anything more than just keep it together before installation. The painted, brown finish is good enough. These aren't 'decorator' brackets. They're not 'warehouse industrial', either. Plenty good for my garage. BTW, I don't do 5-star reviews unless something knocks my socks off. "As expected" can be very good, but it's still four stars. One note: Amazon suggested zinc lag bolts from Hillman. Cheap - ~$15 your a box of 100. I got them, and they're too soft. Two of them sheared off at the top of the threads with just light/moderate torque. Heading to Lowes for better (and much more expensive) bolts.

Well made and works perfect for 24" x 96" shelving.

Nothing to dislike. You cannot find this large size in big box stores. I did find a few at a hardware store but I needed at least eight brackets. The hole issue was not a problem as mentioned by other reviewers. The two off set holes are needed as it where most of the weight is supported so the brackets cannot get pulled out of the wall. They have a nice powder coated finish and all were straight with 90 degree bends. I used these at my church in a small room that had a commercial dish machine that was remove and no longer used. 1"x3" boards were anchored with self tapping screws (#12) to metal studs with the brackets screwed to these boards. These shelves are 20" deep but the brackets would have no problem with 24" shelving p. I used all ten, plenty of support even for cases of water. The 1"x3" boards were left as is so an additional shelving could be added if needed.

Pretty good

Worked to build shelving in my garage but they weren’t all perfect right angles. Id probably rather pay more for better quality.

Poor Reviews I wish to counter here; this rates A++

I was concerned after reading reviews about the holes, being bent, cheap w/no weight capacity, bad finish, et al. At least one review stated he hung his 230# from ONE, so I bought. Actually this was a re-shopping experience since my slotted angle irons were cancelled, throwing my project days behind with an imminent deadline and there are slim pickings in finding weight capacities from the competition on line (idiot marketings?). Using SS Philips heads into smallish pilot holes into 2x4 wood studs these mounted easily, flawlessly and can hold up the moon, even on surface of 1/2" sheetrock, thus I have no doubts the stated weight capacity, coupled with 230# report are true enough, if screws are 1" into studs. Although not packed against damage from each other, all arrived in perfect shape but I refuse to use a magnifying glass when white paint is cheap and easy to get via Prime, which I did not require. Not only was there nothing wrong with this product, it buries the competition on all counts, except possibly one ... my only sole gripe follows: Delivery delay When told Friday ETA on Prime membership costs then later revealed Saturday when too late to cancel & substitute I felt like I have dealt with someone slimey and wondered what a pig in a poke might arrive to further frustrate a project on a medical deadline. I promise to forgive, forget now that I have "too many" excellent brackets for future projects ... I really only needed TWO!

Extremely sturdy!!!

I used these brackets to put up some custom-made shelves. The measurements for the shelves were 2"x10"x5'. Needless to say, they were quite heavy. I tried some other brackets and the shelves were sagging forward. I ordered these, they arrived 2-days later and you can practically sit on my shelves now. I filled them with books and there is no way the shelves will be sagging or collapsing. Perfect in that sense! The only reason I'm giving this 4 starts is because they aren't a perfect right angle. They are slightly crooked. I was able to make it work but I figured it shouldn't be like this or it should be disclosed that they are intended to be this way. Overall, very happy!

Look at bracket holes before drilling

So I grabbed the first bracket in the box and made my marks for all 10 brackets. Sweet, I thought! The 2 holes at the top of the wall are not on the midline, but the laser level split the middle. I drilled for 4 of the brackets. So far so good. Something told me I should check the remaining brackets. I'm SO glad I did before drilling the rest of the holes in the wall. I didn't realize that NOT ALL OF THE BRACKETS ARE THE SAME! As you can see in the pic, there are 2 different orientations of the top holes! Not only that, they gave me 4 of one, 6 of the other. I'm so glad I had checked before drilling all holes! I question if they were all 90 degrees, but they worked fine for my application. No screws or anchors included.

Excellent low price bracket

I used these brackets to replace old brackets for a client and they support a ton of weight and look great. If you need a sleek (not perfect welding or squareness) bracket these are strong and very cost effective.

Solid, white, 90° angled bracket that holds. They dont bend, they are pretty, they are white and can be used either on the long or the short side. I'd recommend.

Perfect For What I Needed

I have a kitchen table that was wobbly. I used 8 of these supports and the table is now so sturdy I could dance on it. They were also small enough that legs do not hit the support when sitting at the table.
