4x perfect for the fat guy
I'm a big guy - 5'10" 340 lb. Big across the shoulders and chest with a well cared for beer gut. I usually wear a 2x or 3x in T-shirts and sweatshirts so I thought I'd go with a 3x for these coveralls. Not only were they tight to zip up, they were tight and hard to get up on shoulders - just tight all over. I sent them back and ordered 4x. Nice and roomy - zips over my beer investment and fits nice around chest and shoulders. Some room to spare- can probably wear a sweatshirt or 2 underneath for the cold weather. As for now in the summer - light and comfy with room to stretch and bend. I worked 6 hours under hood and underneath car on a hot day and the coveralls move nicely with me. Great suit if you can get the size that fits you right.

good coverall
I'm 5'4", about 250 lbs and the 3x fits well. with the pant legs rolled, it's perfect. I could definitely fit clothes on underneath, and would recommend doing that (or wearing long underwear) if you're my size and have thighs because the crotch is a bit low for me. the material feels similar to scrubs. the pockets are deep too- closure is 2 snaps and zipper. pretty good coveralls!

fix the sizing charts
I am 6' 4" 360lbs. I ordered the 5x tall. I knew they would not fit, but that's ok since my wife can alter them. for my height and weight the 5xlt's are about 2.5" too long in the torso, and about 3 to 4 inches too big around in the waist. I wear 48x34 pants. The main issue I have with these is that the sizing chart is too vague and mostly unhelpful. I went directly to dickies website and the one there was even worse. They need a better more detailed sizing chart for these. Chest measurements waist measurements inseam lengths If I were to order them again I would order a 4xl, The trick is do I order a tall or a regular? too short and they split you in half when you sit or squat, too long and the are baggy in the crotch. I wear a 34" inseam and these measure 34" in the inseam. So as long as the 4xl's are the same length then a 4xl tall would probably fit me better, of course I don't know because the measurements don't say.

my husband & I always struggle to find reasonably priced coverall, he's 6'4 250lbs, ordered 3xl tall & it's perfect, it allows him to move freely & comfortably.

6'4" 230lb, fits just a little big. Possibly fit a sweater underneath coveralls a long with regular clothing. Very nice.
