DMC Charles Craft Evenweave Throw
The cross-stitching pattern was so pretty to go along with this well-made throw, that I'm doing it. It will make a perfect gift. The throw is a good size and is smaller than the Afghan so it isn't as much work to complete the pattern included.

Glad to have been able to replace it, had bought one from DMC, I left an abusive relationship last June with just the clothes on my back and what I had in my car, now in the process of replacing items, when my friends went to retrieve items, that me ex would not allow me to have back.

great blank embroidery throw but watch the price
I love sewing and I find embroidery very relaxing. I was looking for a throw sized piece of material to make something special for my mum who was in intensive care over Christmas and New Year - I hope to have it finished before the coming Christmas. It has 35 squares (5 squares by 7 squares) which are nicely marked out in the material's weave. The squares measure approximately 12 cm (4 ¾ inches). The end size depends on whether or not you hem it or fringe it and the size of the fringe you make. The material comes with free snow flake patterns but I decided not to use them as they look a bit dull and boring - and it isn't something that my mum would like. I would imagine that they could look stunning if they were done in Marlitt, Astrella, Lame or Metallic threads - something with a little more sparkle or shine than the usual stranded cotton. I have decided to make her one with flowers, birds and butterflies and another one with Tatty Teds and Elliot Elephants which she is very fond of. The really wonderful thing about making something without a pre-design is the freedom to put on what you want and that means that the item will be unique and extra special. What is a bonus for me is the fact it is evenweave. I love working on evenweave it is so much easier to do fractional stitches than with aida. The material is nice and soft and should make a great throw to keep my mum warm in the cooler weather. There is a problem with the material - it hasn't been cut evenly, but rather at an angle through the threads, so you will have to carefully trim it yourself especially if you are going to hem it otherwise it will look very uneven. I am enjoying making this throw and look forward to making more. *** note *** I came back to buy some more to make up for friends and family but at today's offer price it isn't going to happen. I bought my 2 from a marketplace seller called "Stitcher" and together they were a fraction of the price of 45.65 per throw from MPS "Synergy Data". I guess that means that I will have to start searching again for something a little more in my price range.
