Perfect fit and function!

Genuine Dometic part. Great value, they may not be the least expensive, but they work right out of the box, NO rigging required! They even come with "Airing" clips.

NOT an OEM Product

These are thin & rather flimsy compared to the original Dometic handle, which had a solid handle which was easy to grip, & much better quality & made to last much longer. I looked everywhere but cannot find an original Dometic handle. If you mind having two very different handles, you'd have to replace BOTH the freezer & refrigerator handles. The color & the screw holes match of course. I can see I'm going to have to be careful from now on opening & closing the door so I don't break it. I imagine it's just a matter of time before I have to replace these again. I don't know why it's so hard to find good Dometic quality replacement handles. This is a marketing opportunity for a creative company to make one exactly like the original.

Replaced with original because original latches fail. Would have brought aftermarket if improved.

Cheap imitation of the original

I'm calling BS in these being OEM. They are nothing like the original. Granted, the latches on the original handles are prone to cracking, but at least they had enough spring in them to actually lock behind the fixed tabs on the frame when you close the door. The latches on these replacement handles don't extend far enough to click in when you close the door. You have to manually push the latch over until it is behind the frame tab. Maybe I'll epoxy a spring behind the latch. I find it hard to believe these were made by Dometic. They are still making RV refrigerators, and I'll bet the doors on new units stay closed.

Replacements

Bought these to have as replacements for my Dometic RV refrigerator, in case the originals break, which is bound to happen eventually because of the design.

Direct replacement

It is a direct replacement. I gave 4 stars for sturdiness, but that is more of a poor factory design. It will break again because of this. I recommend & WILL buy again.
