Pair with Inkbird thermostat.

I bought this heater to put in my wife's 12'x8' greenhouse. The heater itself works great for keeping her plants alive for the winter however the thermostat knob is outdated. The thermostat should definitely be digital for the money IMO. I bought a Inkbird thermostat controller and in conjunction with that and the heater it works very well and is able to heat her greenhouse well enough to keep her plants healthy throughout the winter. I set the Inkbird Controller to 55°F and with the outside temperatures at 20°F it is able to keep up. When the temperatures drop below 20°F it's able to keep about a 30°F difference. For example...if it's 10°F it will keep the greenhouse at 40°F. Good product just needs an updated thermostat.

Fine little heater

We use this in our 6x8 HF greenhouse. I have it connected to a controller set to come on at 45f and go off at 60f. The nights lately have been low 20's and the heater has kept it about 40f. We have various house type plants in it tomatoes, lemon tree and wheat grass for the cats. So far everything is doing good. I don't have any extra insulation on the walls, I've thought about putting up some bubble wrap but I don't think it's needed. I think as long as it keeps it above freezing 32f the plants should be ok, we will see. It's a very well built nice little heater. You could use it without a controller I think you would just have to play with it a few days to see where to set the thermostat I already had the controller so I just use that to control the temp. Some little space heaters can't be controlled by a controller because they have to push a power button to turn them on first, not this one it can be turned on and off by a separate controller. Nice heater if your looking you can't go wrong unless your greenhouse is larger it my require two heaters.

Effective in 20x10 plastic covered greenhouse at 17 degrees

Effective in exterior temperature at 17 degrees. Heater maintain interior to 34.3 degrees. I connected mine to an INKBIRD thermostat controller to manipulate and set desired schedule to come on and off when temperatures are reached. If you are expecting lower than 17 degrees, I would suggest using 2 heaters. I connected heater to outlet of INKBIRD tstat and then connected INKBIRD to heavy duty extension cord since green house is not close to my house. This heater kept my plants from suffering through freezing temperatures and my plants are happy and I’m very happy.

Greenhouse, lifesaver

This portable heater was ideal for my greenhouse during the last freeze. All my plants looked as if the temperature never dipped down in the freezing. Nothing got overheated or dried out.

It Heats, But the Output Has a Range

I bought the 120 model for use in my greenhouse. I would like for the temperature to be about 76º. The Dr.Heater is able to only maintain a range of heat, not anything close to dead on exact (Chinese Low - High dial type thermostat.) But, it does keep a fairly tight range. After about 5 trial/ error attempts, I was able to set the dial thermostat to a range that was 74º - 77º. What I like about this unit is the styling and quiet fan that blows the warm air from it. If the thermostat was digital, this would be a perfect unit, which it should be considering it's kind of expensive.
