I ordered this mainly for a hands-free light when walking the dogs at night. It is bright enough to light the path and casts a wide white light to let others know you are on the side of the road. I thought it might be bright enough to use if I needed a hands-free light to make minor repairs or installing something in a dimly lit area, but it is not that bright. It would be good for a reading light. Has three different light adjustments by clicking the button on each light 1, 2 or 3 times. You could have different adjustments on each side since each side is controlled independently. It is a very flexible and lightweight light. Holds the adjustment when the sides are bent. It came already charged and a charger is included. It did not come with any instructions.

Cute little neck light

I got this neck light to help me with crafting because I kept borrowing my husband's. This little light is not super bright and has only a few features (three brightness levels, bendable and rechargeable), but that's perfectly fine. It functions as described. This is perfect for me to be able to see details better when I am crafting. Even with my craft light, sometimes it is nice to be able to direct light. I imagine you could also use it for late-night reading because it isn't very bright. I don't think would be great for things like working under the sink, for example. It just doesn't hold your neck well enough for that and isn't bright enough. I am also not sure I would use it for camping. Maybe in the tent while others are sleeping. At the lowest setting, this will not disturb others. It is very lightweight, so having it around your neck is not a problem, and you can bend the arms to direct the light however you need to. You can get a more robust neck light that is brighter, but that was more than I needed.

TURN ON YOUR HEAD-LIGHTS!

I got these pursuant to a burgeoning interest in late-night book reading..... I had previously gotten a few types of book lights which were similar in nature, and decided to give this alternative design a try..... The DUOSI Rechargeable LED Neck Reading Light is decidedly different than your 'regular' reading light. The idea of actually WEARING the lights around my neck seemed a pretty good option. Well, it IS...and it ISN`T. You can readily adjust these around your neck--They are quite comfortable.... I aimed the beams so they crossed each other, centering on where I was holding the book..... That was perfect. However..... As others have noted, the lack of an anchoring method means that when you move, the lights move...shift... When you do not want them to. This is not really a flaw in the design--it`s just a matter of you keeping still when you use these. They are lightweight, and easy to use....so long as you do not go a-shifting around. Frankly, I am impressed with the DUOSI Rechargeable LED Neck Light ...for a VERY different reason. We live in the country--17 miles from the nearest town. On occasion, due to inclement weather, we experience power outages. Let me tell you--when it goes 'dark' out in the country--it. IS. DARK! We have a number of small flashlights stashed all around the house, just in case we are in any given location when the lights go out. (such as the bathroom, or upstairs ....with a steep stairway as the only way down.) The small flashlights have been great for such moments of sudden pitch-black emergency .... But they lack value for prolonged use. As I tried out the DUOSI Rechargeable LED Neck Light, a virtual 'light bulb' went on over my head (just like in a comic strip!)... I walked around the house in the dark, with my new 'head lights' brightly lighting the way ahead, while leaving my hands free! WONDERFUL! So, while I high-probability will not be using these as my 'regular' reading lights, I will definitely be applying them for emergency use --as well as general craft use, putting spotlights on detail work. To sum up: Lightweight, good lighting, adjustable..... Great reading lights ----as long as you do not move around. EXCELLENT for craft use, or emergency light application.

Reading light

Got this for my son to use to read in bed at night without disturbing his brother. It does feel cheap, I am wondering how long the plastic will hold up. It does work, and my son is enjoying using it. It bends nicely to angle the light how you want and it sits well on his neck, it is super light weight so it feels comfortable.

Nice Light

I ordered this to help me out out when reading at night or in lower light conditions. This light was really easy to use and feels fine around my neck. It's not too tight or too loose and is actually pretty comfortable to wear. The light emitted on the highest setting is bright and it's easy to direct with the bendable arms. I'll be using this all the time.

Great Light, but Could Use More Support

I don't really need the light so much when I'm in bed reading or playing games. However, I've been desperate for some good strong light when I'm doing close craft work such as crochet, knitting, or beading. I was very hopeful that this dual-headed light would be just the thing. Once charged up, each end of this light has a switch that can be used to select one of three brightness levels. The unit itself comes with rubber padding on the inside of the neck. Each arm of the light is sturdy and adjustable somewhat, bendable to whatever position you want. However, these arms don't have anything supporting them, so that once you bend them to the position you want them in and let go, they flop back down onto your chest, just at a slightly different angle. The lights are bright enough to help see what I'm working on, but I'm not able to direct them exactly at what I want to illuminate. If you want to use this light to help with reading or any activity where you're going to be looking down, I'm sure you'll find them extremely helpful. I would recommend it for that, just not for anything where you need to see out in front of you.

Better than most

I ordered this light because I wasn't happy with my other reading light options. I like that you can alter the brightness (or only use one side). The light is bright enough to read without disturbing your partner. I don't use it around my neck but place the end under the pillow and it works well for keeping it place and not having to move it every time I turn the page (like the lights that attach to the book).
