Just as advertise.
This swivel was as advertised. The joint was pre-greased. I put a coat of green paint on it (although was not necessary) and worked as advertised.

Near perfect for what I needed
Needed a swing for my 2 year old toddler (About 30ish lbs). I attached a Little Tikes Swing to this swivel, which I bolted to the good frame of my deck ceiling. It was rock solid and secure. I didn't feel it was ever degrading even after several winters and some pretty wild swing rides. Only thing to remember it keep it well greased using a grease gun. Without it, it can have some jerky motion. But that's normal a sturdy metal on metal swivel like this. Well maintained, this is an excellent product. In fact, buying another one for the new house we moved into, and we'll be using it in the basement attached to the floor joists. Only reason I didn't give it the full 5 stars is because its not 100% maintenance free. But it definitely does what it needs to do.

Durable!
My child has a special swing that also bounces and spins. The swing is used multiple times a day and we have worn out our previous swing attachments due to metal fatigue. I finally found this item and was very pleased with the ball and joint design that allows for smooth swinging, bouncing, and spinning. Instead of metal rubbing constantly against metal, this attachment has a pocket design that I call the joint which comes packed with grease allowing for the ball part of the attachment to move freely inside it as my child swings and spins. I did buy a grease cartridge and grease gun for future maintenance to ensure the ball and joint are sufficiently greased. The attachment is also very heavy so be sure to install it carefully and properly in something sturdy. Ours is installed in a ceiling joist with long, heavy duty screws.

No smooth at all
Seems very sturdy but there is nothing to hold the grease in and it does not move freely. With any pressure on it it will bind. My kids go to spin on their swing and the chains will bind up until enough pressure is applied to the swivel and then it will break free. Maybe after a lot of use it will wear down and function better but as of now I'm not impressed.

Works well for a hanging chair too
We had a basket chair hanging from the ceiling of our front porch. I had used a large eye bolt to attach the chair to a ceiling rafter. It became a favorite destination for reading a book, catching up on email, etc but after a short time, the wind and less observant swingers spin the chair and cause the eye bolt to unscrew itself from the ceiling. After several (unsuccessful) attempts to screw the eye bolt back into the ceiling more securely, I eventually removed the chair and stowed it in the attic. I saw this on Amazon one night, decided to try again and it worked! The chair now spins freely and stays put. Wish I'd done this a long time ago.

Perfect!
We live in a log cabin with a large log beam across the length. Our grandson has a swing mounted to it and loves to swing different directions. No matter what else we tried there have always been problems with breaking (sometimes resulting in a hard landing on the floor) or squeaking. This is just what we've been looking for! It's strong and (with a little grease added), quiet!

Good product, wish it had a grease seal
This works well for our home made tire swing. The only issue I have with it is there was no grease seal, so grease could drip out crating a mess and loosing the lubrication around the ball. I had a large plastic washer from some old junk i had disassembled and was able to use that as a sort-of seal held on by a self tapping screw. That works, but a real seal would be better. That said, it has held up well and works great for a backyard tire swing.

Good swivel
We installed this in our home attached to a sensory swing for our children. It worked great at first, however after a few months of repetitive use, it started to wear down in the direction of the repeated motion so it will stick and make noise when going in a different direction. This wear is no different than the same wear we have seen in other swivels. As far as using this swivel indoors, it needs to be greased and as it is used tiny bits of grease speckle the floor below. This is our third swivel with this design so we have figured out to put a plate on the rope about 10 inches below the swivel to catch the grease.

good product.
Theres no weight limit listed but ive had up to 400lbs on this swing so far with no issues. my kids and their friends have been going every day for the last week for hours at a time, Feels sturdy and has a good range of motion in all directions .I like that it came pre-greased up and ready to go.

Super heavy duty
I bought these to mount mount some hammock chairs. They’re heavy duty and should last years. Probably over kill for my purpose, but I wanted something that will take the abuse of two teens. If I need more I’d definitely buy again.
