Keeps my ecollar remote out of the way but at the ready

This lanyard is very sturdy and keeps my ecollar remote easily accessible but out of the way. Way easier than a holster or belt clip.

Does the job, but seriously lacking a lock on the retraction, so it does not automatically pull back in. that si a pretty obvious oversight

Great for keeping track of the transmitter

I purchased this product along with the belt clip. I wasn’t sure which product I wanted to use, but I’m not using both together. The retractable lanyard acts as insurance and a backup to the belt clip just incase. I was worried about the retractable lanyard because honestly, from the picture, it doesn’t look high quality in my opinion, but looks are definitely deceiving! It’s plastic, but it’s solid. The clip is small, but I didn’t find it difficult to get on/off a belt loop. I could see how someone with larger hands could have difficulty. The resistance on the retraction of the cord is heavy and easily supports the weight of the remote. I probably won’t use this without also using the belt clip however because the remote swings around wildly and if you need easy and quick access to the remote to recall your dog, you’ll want to have the remote in the same place all the time. I personally recommend purchasing both products to use together.
