Excited but disappointed

Updated review 3/6/21: I reordered the matching game, and it was going to be a few days later than expected. After 2 days, I could get a refund or get a replacement. I waited the two days, and decided to try and get a replacement. I got an email saying I wasn't able to. I then tried to get a refund, and I got the same email. We ended up chatting with an Amazon representative, and they reordered us another game free of charge. That game arrived in the expected time frame. Upon opening the game, all the matching pieces were sealed in plastic. That's not what happened when we originally received our first order. That leads me to believe we got a used game when we paid for a new one. We however love the matching game and all the diversity it has. Our son is even remembering the name of the countries that go with the child. My husband and I even enjoy playing. The game itself is amazing, but I'm giving 3 stars for the ordeal getting the game. Original review: I was so excited to finally have a memory match game to play with our son. Unfortunately, as soon as we received the game and started to play, we noticed a few pieces were in poor shape already. One card you were able to tell what it was when flipped over because of the marks. We love the diversity of the cards and how on the back of the box, it tells what country goes with which card. Going to order again and hopefully all the pieces will be in great shape this time.

Great matching game

This is a wonderful matching game. With a diverse group of faces from around the world. I used this in my preschool class for many years. I was ordering some Christmas gifts for my grandkids on prime days. When this suddenly popped up, I just had to buy it for one of my granddaughters who loves memory games!

Nostalgia

Brings back so many memories, I use to play this with my son. Now I use the memory games to help support my Great Memory Health! It really helps, it keeps that part of the brain stimulated.

Well Made!

I had to write this review because I was blown away by the quality of the pieces! My daughter who HATES board games … thanks to the games on the screens … thoroughly enjoyed playing this game with me. The cards are extremely sturdy, so much so I logged on to check if they had another set that I could order. I planned to add a second set to this to make the fun longer. I highly recommend this game. My daughter is 9 and I have been using it to help her develop her memory skills as that’s something they don’t exactly teach in school. By our third game she started focusing more than she did in the first game.

Fun for the whole family

This game is really challenging at first, but then it's a lot of fun. Suggestion: for younger children, divide the deck in half, so they need to remember where 12 pairs are placed on the board. This reduces the frustration level by a lot.

A really well-made product

I have purchased both the "I Never Forget A Face" and "Life On Earth" eeBoo memory games for my three-year-old granddaughter and they have been a hit. Memory games are a great investment because children enjoy playing them for a span of several years and their parents enjoy playing them, too. They exercise memory and concentration, foster the development of social skills, and teach pattern and spatial recognition and even math. My grandaughter even uses hers in solitary play. The construction of these sets is superior to that of other, mass-marketed memory games; they're built to withstand many years of use and the cards are perfectly sized for little hands to pick up and manipulate. They're also easy to pack (in a baggie) for a trip. But what sets the eeBoo games apart is their quality artwork. When purchasing any item, I always look at aesthetics first and I think this guiding principle is especially important when choosing play equipment for children. Practical, well-ordered, and beautiful design is art education built into the object. If children are only presented with cutesy Disney and schlocky Hallmark images, they will grow up thinking that that is what the world is supposed to look like. The images here are accessible and kid-friendly, but do not stoop to the level of cartoon-y condescension or crass product endorsement. Please consider this review a hearty endorsement of these and other eeBoo products. And thanks to Amazon for making available to us products that are not, but should be, stocked at the local box stores.

Wonderful unique children's game

I bought this for my daughter age 20 months and she loves matching up the children, obviously she's too young yet to play the proper game but its sturdy and versatile to provide fun and stimulate the brain from toddler age. The game is great fun to play with older children and adults I would recommend it 100%

Excellent hard wearing pieces

beautiful product, hard-wearing as represented in the photos. No need to laminate to make stronger. Would have loved to also have the names of the individual children linked to their countries in order to give them more personality, just like Guess Who.
