Strains cream perfectly!

A little background. I'm on a HFLC diet (high-fat low-carb). I struggle to hit my target levels of dietary fat, so I try to incorporate a few cups of coffee every day with heavy cream. I bought a cold brew system and a new coffee maker for this purpose. Unfortunately, heavy cream can be lumpy due to lots of fat globules in the cream. The fatty lumps tend to dissolve in hot coffee, but just float around in cold coffee. And sometimes there are tons of little lumps of fat that can't really be skimmed out with a spoon. It's not very appetizing to "chew" your cold brew, you know? So, I immediately turned to Amazon looked for a fine mesh strainer. This is a little smaller than I anticipated - I don't know why I thought it'd be bigger - but it does the job. I hold it over my cup of cold brew, pour in the cream, and it catches all the big and little chunks of milk fat. The strainer also adds a nice silky quality to the cream. In other words, my cold brew has never tasted so good. I do have to pour slowly because otherwise I'll overflow the strainer, but it's not a big deal at all. This seemingly insignificant kitchen tool has vastly improved my coffee-drinking experience. I highly recommend it!

Just right

This lays easily over every size mug I own, and filters the big grounds out of my french press coffee as I pour it, which is exactly what I wanted it for. Mesh is sturdy, the item is good quality, and seems like it will last a long time.

Perfect For Small Containers, Very Tight Mesh

I purchased this to sift resin and incense chunks out of my rice ash-filled cauldron. For this purpose, it could be better. The mesh is very tight, requiring me to have to tap it on the edge of my cauldron to get the ash to fall through. The size, however, is perfect for fitting into a small container. It's also holding up very well against my beating it on the side of a cast iron cauldron, so I can tell you it's well-made and sturdy.

Too small to sift powdered sugar.

I bought this to sift on powdered sugar onto desserts etc., but it's really much too small to do this. If this is your purpose, buy a larger size than this one.

Recevied it all squashed!

I got it, it's all right, but it was all squashes and pressed. It's crimped. You should have put in in a box not an envelope, even if it's a bubble envelope, it's still exposed to the post office delivery methods. Bad,bad,bad!!!

Nice size to squeeze lemon or lime into for seeds. Or to pour squeezed into for separating seeds. Either way, use it several times a week and love it. Sturdy and just the right size.
