Cute, Understated Holiday Design.

These are great if you're looking for something more muted than the typical "Christmas" designs. In fact, they don't necessarily need to be used for Christmas at all, because they don't say "Merry Christmas" but words that evoke the sentiment of the season without being tied to one specific holiday, so they could really be used by anyone celebrating *any* holiday during this special time of year. I'm going to use them, for example, at my New Year's luncheon. They'd be equally lovely for Hanukkah, Kwanza, or Yule celebrations, and it's nice to see holiday dishes that offer a bit more versatility. The jury's still out in my family as to whether these are "sophisticated" or "drab," but that's an individual decision you'll have to make for yourself. The quality of these plates is on par with Fritz and Floyd I've had in the past. I would classify it as being on the higher end of the stoneware scale, but it's not necessarily something that is going to last for generations. You will get many, many years of enjoyment from these, and, of course, you're still getting beautiful dishes without paying the premium you would for the high-end stuff. These can go in the dishwasher and microwave, and there are a range of pieces with the same design in case you want a whole set. These are enough for me since I'm just looking for an accent for my holiday table. After all, the only time you see the design is when it's set on the table before the meal, not when it's covered with food. Overall, these are lovely and versatile *holiday* dishes.

Pretty and understated, nice feel to them but just a little off

I really like these plates: nice stoneware with a pretty but understated pattern. They are small salad plates, each with a different word: peace, joy, celebrate, and cheers. That's my biggest gripe: those four words don't match. Peace, joy, cheers? Celebrate, cheers, peace? There's just something off about these four words together. I try not to let it irritate me but every time I get the plates out, it rubs me the wrong way. The pretty birds and branches don't soothe me enough. So, if that won't bother you, get the plates. But if, like me, you are unreasonably annoyed by something like this...or exactly like this...find other plates, because these look really nice, but they are just a little bit wrong.

Very nice quality plates. The design is subtle but very pretty. The plates are lightweight but feel durable.

Cute and classy holiday plates

These are very nice quality salad plates. I didn't think I would like the fact that they all had a different design but they grew on me. The neutral colors, along with the varying patterns around the edges of each plate, added a fun and unique holiday theme to our tablescape. We used them for desserts instead of salads/sides. They are very durable and are dishwasher and microwave safe. They have been through the dishwasher and in the microwave multiple times over the holidays and held up perfectly.

Nice holiday plates!

These are nice plates for the holidays. They are designed nicely and made from nice materials. They are light and sturdy. They are easy to wash. I put them in the dishwasher and nothing happened to them. They are microwavable as well.

Very durable and sturdy.. Nice decor
