What?!

This is more an indictment of the seller (That Fish Place) than the product, the background itself is exactly what you'd expect and is fine if they'd not been so stupid. I ordered 4 feet of this 24" tall background and what I received was 4 separate 30" long pieces crushed up in a box that was about 5 times too large for the item. (background was bent and crushed to put in the box and then bounced around during shipping...) Amazon really needs to take a better look at vendors like this selling on their site...

Looks great

Through no fault of Amazon or the manufacturer, this arrived smashed. I believe Ace Ventura delivered it. The box was completely obliterated. Regardless, our plan is not to use the oil to adhere it to the back of the fish tank, but to merely tack it on, so that we can still clean the tank easily. It's salt water and salt residue always builds up on the back. Even though this is all crinkled, you can't really tell when it's on the back of the tank. It was slightly big for our tank, which is great. I would rather have a little to trim off than not enough to cover it.

Misleading description, has a printed measurement strip on it

Specs say this product is 24" wide... what they don't tell you is that 1" of that is printed as a measurement strip (shows inches, cm, etc). So for someone like me who has a tank that's exactly 24" wide, it's not a good solution. I'm going to get creative for the time being and eventually get a product that isn't misleading in its description.

Blue looks so good!

This was a bit taller than my tank, so I made sure to put the darkest blue section starting at the bottom and used a razor to trip the top excess off. I didn't want the background to be too brightly exposed. I used simple double-side tape all along the parameter of the back side of the tank to apply this with no ripples. Make sure to clean the glass well or otherwise dirt/prints will show up once the background is applied.

We thought this was a great product when we received it and put it on our tank. Now 3 months later...it is peeling off all over and has pockets of air bubbles in spots in the middle of it...how did it get in there?! It will not re-stick for some reason either. I guess we will have to take it off and toss it. What a waste!

Great product! i had read the reviews and was worried it would come in 4 sections because of the odd ordering process but it didnt. it came in a 4 foot piece rolled up neatly. i read other reviews 1st and saw how to order otherwise i wouldnt have understood. when you order 1 item, it is only 299 for 1 foot. so you just up your 'items' to 4. (for a 55 gal tank for example). Thanks! :)

Nothing to complain about, it is just a background

The background was delivered promptly. No wrinkles, no rocks nor plants, just plain blue and black -- which is perfect. Took me a bit to figure out how to order 48inch x 28inch piece. You just have to put an order for 4 items (4feet = 4 x 12inch).

Perfect

This works perfectly.I bought it to add depth to my aquarium and it did just that. I wanted the black but the reverse being blue gives me options. When used with the stealth black tubing it really works well.
