good for the price

I ordered these for a stage performance by 8-12 year olds. I ordered size large thinking it would be easier to adjust the size down if needed. The "fur" cap portion is on a knit type backing, slightly stretchy, and the cap is deep enough to sit down over rather than on top of the head. The caps worked well for all sizes and looked great with my "deerskin" jackets. The "fur" looks pretty good and matches the tail (I think a real tail) well. I am very pleased. Quick shipping and a good price. They shed a bit but not more than you would expect.

Raccoon Hat Scores Big

Hat was used as a gag gift for one of my counterparts at wotk. Turns out he had a family of raccoons living in his attic & as he was telling us the story on a conference call, I thought I just gotta send him a raccoon hat. It arrived about a week later & his wife & daughter opened the package & freaked out as they thought it was a real raccoon. He got a real big laugh out of it so served its purpose & is proudly hanging in his offeice at work!!

Great hat!

Got this hat for my 4 year old and it was such a nice surprise. Quality stitching and a real raccoon tail, the rest was synthetic but looks like real fur. I worried about buying a large but it seems like it would fit any head. Must stretch a bit because all of us can wear it. We saw some at Disneyland that looked very bad compared to this and this was much more affordable. I highly recommend.

poor quality

The hat I received does not look like the picture. the tail is made of strips of fuzzy black and gray material sown together. Does not look like fur. The hat cost around $10, should have cost less, and was returned less than half!... not sure why, putting it back on the shelf? If you need a raccoon hat, get it from Bass Pro! Great hat, well made, cost about the same as this piece of junk.

Ours died, again.

Bought this for a costume for my 5 year old and the tail broke in 2 places before we could even use it. I'd sew it back on, but I'm not really sure how to go about mending a dead animal's tail. I'll be buying synthetic next time.

coonskin cap dud

The hat did not look anything like the picture. The tail shed when I tried to fluff it. I would have sent it back, but it was for my grandson's birthday and there wasn't time. It was labeled a child's hat but the size on the hat said 14+. Not my idea of a child size.

RACCOON HAT

Nice hat. Well made. Bought it for a cat toy. Our cat hated it but our daughter's cat loves it. Nothing wrong with the hat. Must be something wrong with our cat.
