Disposal end is only 1” or 5/8”

Older GE dishwashers require this special hose to fit the drain pump. Unfortunately the disposal end of this hose appears to only fit on 1 inch and 5/8 inch disposal fittings. My disposal has a 7/8 inch fitting. I had to kludge together an adapter. Why doesn’t this hose have more choices on the disposal end?

Good quality OEM replacement hose

This was the only place I could find the longer 10 foot length of drain hose for my GE dishwasher. The shipping time was frustratingly long (8 days) especially when you have a prime membership. The item fits perfectly and the length was exactly what I needed. No pipe clamps were included (as this is a replacement for the one that comes with the dishwasher). One end fits over the drain port on the dishwasher (larger than 1" diameter), and the other end fits over my disposal attachment port (~3/4" diameter). No leaks so far.

Used this to replace a rigged up system in a house we recently bought. The original hose was about a foot too short so the homeowner or builder rigged up something that resulted in greatly reduced volume going out of dishwasher. What a mess it made. This hose fixed the problem and had extra length to spare.

Just needed to be tightened better.

Honestly, WTF? Why use a non-standard ID for a dishwasher? Had to wait almost 2 weeks to get our dishwasher up and running. And this costs 3x as much as a regular hose. Hose does its job I guess. The ID was still a little large for our dishwasher and the rubber expanded after the first hot cycle causing it to leak. Just needed to be tightened better.

A bit expensive compared to dishwasher drain hoses from other companies, but GE recommends no longer than 10 ft. The other cheaper hoses by other makers were 12 ft. I didnt have a choice but to get this one, which is basically no better than any other dishwasher drain hose besides the longer length.

Probably only needed the 6' hose but could not find one for this price. Is the proper drain hose with the right ends for the GE larger than what I think is normal for the dishwasher connection

Leeking.

Expensive for plastic and easy to install. The problem is that it wont stop leaking at the diswasher joint even after tighting it as more as I could. So I just install the old one back and no leeking. the new one went into garbadge. A lot of money spent for nothing.
