Does not have the extra inserts

I bought the 2 pack because it said that it came with 6 extra tungsten inserts, it didn't! I don't want to return it cause the scribers themselves are nice, just wish it had extra inserts.

Pretty good

This scribe is nice, but I have 1 issue with it. It's light. The body seems to be plastic, and the only metal is the tip and the pocket clip. Other that that, it's a good mid level scribe.

Great value for the price!

Used to edge on both Glass and metal ease of use was so so, but that's with anything. Found glass to be a little bit easier to edge on the metal is, but it's my first one so the skill will come later.

Dream purchase

Wanted a scribe for marking pavers and slabs that wouldn’t roll away. With a magnet on one end I can leave it with my trowel and it’s still there next time. Brilliant.

It's OK

First I expected a little bit better quality from General, the positive part is that the scribe point itself is sharp and does give a decent cut line in steel. This what my intent for its use will be, I did try it on a few of my wrenches and it was not quite so effective. The finish on mine is really rough with all sorts of teeth marks in the aluminum shaft up by the magnet. It is like it was put in a pair of vice grips or vice then the magnet pounded into the end. Kind of shoddy, hopefully my photos will show some of this. As for the magnet I don't see a real use as such, compared to a proper extension magnet which will save me from bending over to pick something off the floor or if a nut rolls under a bench or car. Skip the magnet and give a better finish. I think in the end the actual working function will do what it is supposed to but at this price point there are better quality ones in the local hardware store than this.
