Clarity & Protection for long-time wear

I hesitated before purchasing these blue-light-blocking reading glasses because of the comments about them not being durable. Reviewers who mentioned the hinges being weak are correct. Hinges are not flexible and might break over time if you're not SUPER careful with them or have a wide head. That being said, the clarity these glasses provide (so much superior to any non-prescription readers) is out of this world. Blue-light protection is also top notch. After two days wearing them all day at the computer, I couldn't bear wearing my regular computer glasses (my eyes were getting tired right away). After a few weeks of use, I'm also noticing that I'm sleeping better. (coincidence?) On a side note: The lenses stay clean for a long time. They don't smudge easily like other glasses I've used. I've bought several pairs to keep near all my screens. Once you've tried them, it's simply impossible to use regular readers! Worth it. Just be careful with the hinges...

If you are thinking about these, just do it - buy them

I don't write a lot of reviews, but as soon as I put these on, it was almost the first thing that came to mind and I had to write a review. As someone who attends online university full time, works in IT full time, and an avid video game player, its safe to say I spend a lot of time on my PC. I have bought countless pairs of the cheap reading glasses ranging from 5 pairs for $20 to 30 each pair. None even come close to these. The optical quality is fantastic. I have read several reviews which say the frames are not super great quality for the price. I can't attest to that as I have only been wearing them for about 20 minutes so far. But if they break, I will buy a new pair. I purchased the 1.5x readers/computer glasses as I need a slight vision correction. I usually get 1.25x from the drug store and was hesitant to buy a 1.5x, but I am happy so far. I have not had to move my monitor closer and its 24 inches from where I sit. The blue light blocking is fantastic. I already have been using the Windows Night Light feature at 100% strength to reduce blue light, but with these, it becomes less necessary and I actually think it is ok with that Windows feature disabled. Combined, its a too yellow. I'll work with this setting more as I spend more time with these glasses. If you are on the fence and think it is a lot of money for a pair of reading or computer glasses, like I was, they are worth it in my opinion.

lens quality is key and these are excellent

I will stick with these glasses for a long time. They seem to have just the right amount of lens filtering as the grade and density of the color is perfect. I know these would not be perfect when you are color matching something on the screen , however most of your time is spent reading and writing, and even watching Youtube as a living , but your eyes are worth the expense, spend the money.

Great for what it is meant for

I see reviews about blur or ghosting to the side.....Well, if you need reading glasses and want to block blue light and clarify your gaming, these work. Don't buy these to magnify the game. They work great as reading glasses if you need them. If you don't need reading glasses things will blur. Buy the ones that don't have magnification. The ghosting off to the side is the blue light. You can see it off to the corner of the screen you are looking at. I don't know about you but when I am playing a game, anything that happens off the screen does not matter. The house could start on fire and I don't look two inches to the side of the screen. I had non magnified versions and they were great, even while driving. Then I needed reading glasses and bought the 1.5 version. They are great. I don't use them to drive because they blur at a distance like all reading glasses. These are great and well worth the investment. I have owned three pairs, my non magnified for a year, no problems and then the 1.5 I bought and another set of 1.5 for my office at work. They don't break. Not sure how big of heads those who complain about breaking them have or if they are just too lazy to take them off like a normal person because they are rage quitting and one hand ripping them off their heads but I have no problem with them after a year and then another 5 months on the others. If you are breaking them, they are not your controller you throw down, they are glasses. Take care of them and enjoy the benefits. Good game all.

Stylish and they work!

I’m at the age where I have to “trombone” restaurant menus and document lol I didn’t want to spend a fortune but didn’t want these to make me look old. They look fashionable and do a great job eliminating reading headaches.

Wish I had bought this earlier! My eyes no longer feel as tired plus I can see see details (especially of pictures) I used to miss in print.
