Tough guess for Length

We have a great squeegee that we bought at a local cleaning-janitorial supply place, that has since gone out of business. Eventually, the rubber gets stiff and stops squeegeeing very well. Found these online -- it is the right brand, but I guessed at the size (sold and labeled in full inch increments, and actual measurement was not full inch increments). I thought I'd gotten the right size -- it was close and in the online photo the spacing of the holes looked correct -- turns out it not exactly the right replacement. Rubber is long enough to cover the metal, but hole spacing is off. DH says he can cut new holes or just screw through the rubber to attach. It wasn't worth the postage to return since it seems that we can make it work.

Holes did not line up perfectly and when you stretched it to get the screws in the working edge became distorted and no longer made a clean sweep.

Holes do not line up, so I punched new holes. Used it and it leaves big streaks. Tried to clean but still streaks. Rubber is DEFECTIVE !!
