Nice if you want an open / no lid trash can in your kitchen

Totally my fault but I ordered this in my search for “hands free”. It falls under hands free but only because there is no lid. Sort of misleading as hands free in home trash usually means it has a way to open the lid without touching the can. I know I should had read this description fully but in a rush I just thought it looked nice. This is more for maybe a business or store that’s just throwing trash not food. The size is perfect so I’m still considering rather I’ll keep it but it just feels not right for a kitchen not to have a lid.

Pricey for what it is & dents easily

I like the sleek design & that it is slim for small spaces. Pretty disappointed that there is minimal space for recycling with this design. Had it just under 2 weeks when it was bumped & dented really easily. Next time I’ll go with a space with bigger openings.

Great Quality - Little Small for a family

We needed to replace our tired Kitchen trash can and was intrigued that this had both recycle and garbage compartments. The concept is really cool and the trash can is very high quality. It arrives fully assembled and ready to use. The item was packed very well in two boxes and arrived in perfect condition, The trash portion is 8 gallons and the recycling is 5 gallons. We are accustomed to a 13 gallon trash can, which we fill up almost daily. We are a family of three and cook all of our meals at home. I really like the recycling portion which is larger than the small trash can we were using. We will most likely purchase a 13 gallon trash can to match and use this as our recycling can; we have a lot of recycling each week. I also like that it conceals the bags. Although it doesn't have a lid you need to lift the top portion off to change the bags and when you put it back on it covers the bags that are folded on the outside of the inner can. This would be the perfect size for a smaller family or a secondary trash can for a larger family.

Trash and recycling in one

This trash can arrived very well packaged (double boxes) and was in perfect condition. The first thing I noticed was that it was larger and than I anticipated (compared to a standard 13 gallon kitchen trash can), but still smaller than 2 separate trash/recycle bins. It’s exactly as described and shown in the product listing. Its a stainless steel container with 2 bins. The smaller blue bin (for recyclables) and has a 20L capacity. The larger black bin (for trash) has a 30L capacity. The top is open (no lid) which some may not like, but it’s clearly stated in the product description, and shown in the product photos. The trash can is very well made. Everything fits together nicely and it has rubber feet to protect floors and reduce sliding. It has a bit of a commercial vibe. It would work well in an office break room or hotel lobby, but also looks great in a residential kitchen. The one thing I don’t like is that there’s no clear indicator which side is recycling and which is trash, other than the size and color of the bins. But when the bins are lined with trash bags you can’t see the color, so someone unfamiliar may dispose in the wrong bin. Another thing to consider is that a standard 13gal kitchen trash bag does not fit very good. You can certainly use them, but their not ideal. You can find 30L trash bags on Amazon, but they are more expensive, and you probably won’t find them in your local grocery store.

It’s sleek and fits narrow spaces well.

I like the fact of this trashcan is tall and has the two compartments in one container making it easier and less cluttered looking around my garbage can area. The garbage cans not very big, they’re tall but slender, so take that into account when ordering. The pictures and dimensions are for the exterior of the trashcan the interior compartments are very much smaller and much more narrow. This isn’t really a problem for me because I take my trash out pretty often and I am in a single person household. If you have a high volume of traffic in your house throwing away a high volume of garbage you’re gonna need a larger option. If you only have a small space with which to fit your garbage cans in this is probably going to be a winner for you. This can makes it very easy to have everything you need with the recyclables and the normal garbage can in one contained place. I do wish it was a little longer so I could have a space for my composting trash but that’s just me. Overall the lake this can it absolutely satisfies my needs however I think the size of the interior cans is the biggest drawback to what I got versus what I thought I was getting. So if you need some thing that’s going to provide you more room then saying under cabinet trashcan this one has a little more room but not a lot.
