Easier than DIY

This holds the buttons well. I was disappointed that the reset button can be pushed by the foam mat. This mat would also benefit from a backing that minimizes sliding. I’m sure it’s not a problem for some dogs but since my corgi has to stand on the mat to push a button, it’s frustrating that it slides on our floor.

Keeps buttons in place

We use these mats to hold the “talking buttons” for our 2 yr old goldendoodle. I love how these mats keep the buttons in place and are the perfect size for our favorite type of buttons. It looks neat and tidy with the buttons all perfectly spaced on the mats and they link in many different configurations.

Talking pet buttons.

We bought this product on a whim. We thought we would have to return it. But that thought was wrong. Our dog Harper and us absolutely love the talking buttons. We love how fast our dog caught on to this teaching tool. We are using 2 button's. Outside & bed. We ask Harper "What do you want?" It's amazing every time she uses the right button. We are in awe! Harper doesn't need hardly any prompting. We love how she pounces on the button. We also love how she hesitates wondering which thing she wants to do. We'll add the other 2 buttons in time. What a wonderful product!!!!

Necessity

Found that this is really needed to keep the buttons together in 1 place. The buttons are not tightly fitting in cutouts. Dog can remove button from mat. Mat slides on hard floors & doesn't grip. Item is overpriced. A piece of old exercise mat my dog claimed for herself could have worked & provided grip but may not have looked as nice or been more neutral color to better blend with room.

Very convenient to hold the buttons!

I like that this mat keeps all the buttons organized and in place! It even comes with stickers to label each of your buttons. It was also larger than I excepted which is awesome. I like that you can connect multiple together to keep your whole collection together. I just have a few suggestions for improvement: I wish it was a little better at keeping the buttons in it. My pup loves to claw at the buttons so I have to keep putting them back in. I also wish there was an option for a four pack. I got the starter pack (4 buttons) and the Next Words packs (3 buttons each) with two of these mats and it leaves some empty spots. Overall, this is definitely a must-have if you are getting any of the talking pet buttons!

Great button mat

I really like these mats. Sturdy and versatile, they aren't as flashy in color as several other popular mats. And we prefer that the talking buttons have a straight and orderly appearance as given by these mats. Our cats do better with the smaller talking buttons from Fluent Pet, so I use a box cutter to make smaller hole on these mats- works great. And I like that these mats have a small and discrete 'Hunger for Words' label on them, so we can still show our support and admiration for those who started the whole talking animals movement- Christina Hunger and her dog Stella.

DOES NOT FIT ALL BUTTONS

We ordered the BOSKEY buttons and then the Stella Pad to hold them. The buttons don't fit exactly but we made it work.

Muffles…

So I didn’t realize it at the time, but this matt really muffles the sounds of the buttons. It’s not bad and keeps them together, but I think my dog would be more adept to use it if the buttons were a bit further apart. We will keep trying with this matt.

No buttons just the mat compleatly misleading

I bought this product as it is advertised as a whole product, when I got it it was just the mat, at no point in the product description does it express it is the mat only, total rip off.

Didn’t come with labels as advertised

We bought the talking pet starter set and within 2 weeks the green button stopped working. We got them to ship a replacement, but we have to mail back the original set which is fair and also a major inconvenience. Now I order the button mat and the labels that were supposed to come with it are not included in the package. I think there must be something wrong in their production!

i bought buttons to go with, dog couldnt get to grasp with it, think she was too old to learn this one but we tried, sure it be good to learn from pup stage tho.
