works great!
This motion sensor is cheap (compared to others out there) and it does what you need it to do, I like the option to turn off the light manually if I want. I don't feel that the instructions are updated.. the small wire on the outside is for metal plates but is not mentioned on the instructions. Overall the only thing I would change would be to have an option for it to turn off within 1 min of no motion.. but 5 min is okay.

This is less expensive than other similar functional products.
Positives: 1.Ordering another one today to install in another location 2. Installation was easy. I had a toggle switch in garage and replaced that. 3. Less expensive compared to similar functional products -Ves. Instructions were bit confusing. Particularly wires connection. If possible I will share a photo of what I am talking about if it allows.

Easy to install, still working months later
I bought this for our pantry, as we were not turning off the lights when we exited. My partner installed it easily, probably took maybe 15 minutes? He hasn’t don’t electrical work before, though he is pretty handy. One thing to note is that this does not come with a plate around it, so you will have to buy something to fit around, unless you want a hole in the wall (assuming you had a light switch there previously). We found one for under $10 at a surplus store but keep in mind that you are going to have that added expense. It does make a clicking sound as it senses that it needs to turn on. I would buy it again.

Saving money and an easier/lazier life is simple just the way it is.
The media could not be loaded. Sometimes for some of the homes, the light switch is oddly placed at a place where it's not very convenient to reach, or it is a place where you'd enter while holding lots of stuff. Storage Room, back of the garage, laundry room, anywhere. This can make your life much easier, once you enter the room: let there be light. And you don't have to worry about the bill - it shut the power off for you when you leave. You might know this product from public washroom, and don't think you'll need one, but trust me, it's so convenient that once it's in your home, you'll miss it when you're somewhere else. My parents came visit me for a month, and they told me they already missed the convenience of an automatic light switch the week after they're back. It's not a smart switch where you'd need an app and network, it is a more analog and stick-to-the-ground sensor switch. Although not having the fancy features that not everyone needs, it just do the work you need it to do.

Great product!
They work very well. My husband and I installed them and ended up ordering more. It is helping make sure lights turn off in the closets, bathrooms and garage. They work great. We ordered more!!

Awesome!
I got this for the bathroom and it works fantastic! The builder put the light switch too far from the door and it was going to cost $600 to move it. This was a much better choice. It doesn’t turn off on you; it’s sensitivity level is just right. Also, it’s easy to set the time-out period, etc. This was my first attempt at doing anything electrical and it was simple to install. Good directions and comes with all the necessary parts. I plan on going another one for the other bathroom!

Working Great and As Expected!
RESEARCH AND DECISION I purchased a Leviton occupancy sensor (PR180-1LW) from the local Home Depot a couple weeks ago for a recessed LED light in my laundry closet, I didn't install it, and the next day my wife and I went to purchase a dimmer switch for another set of recessed LED lights in our hall. While searching through the dimmers we found a plain looking Lutron switch with dimmer (TGCL-153PH-WH) that worked with the LED lights. At that time it dawned on me that I forgot to check if the PR180-1LW worked with LED lights, checked packaging when I got home and found that it didn't. I returned it and looked to see if they had one that worked with LED lights, they didn't, I went to Lowes, they also didn't have one, so came to Amazon and found this Lutron (MS-OPS2-WH) which after watching the video seemed to be a great choice for the same price as the one I returned with more options. ORDER AND DELIVERY I placed the order for this occupancy sensor on a Tuesday morning via Amazon Prime, order was picked and shipped the next day, and delivered the day after as expected with 2 day shipping. Packaging was in perfect condition and nothing was damaged. Packaging was easy to open and instructions were included in the retail packaging. REPLACING OLD UNIT AND INSTALLATION I purchased this occupancy sensor to replace a SensorPlug Motion Sensor (also great for plug-in lights) that plugs into a socket which we had a florescent tube shop light plugged into. It is still working perfect, but I decided to install a recessed LED and in-wall motion sensor. Since I started from scratch I wired in series from an existing socket to the switch, and from the switch up the wall, through the ceiling to the light. I also added an outlet box where the occupancy sensor would reside. I did this before the switch arrived, and installed a temporary switch in the mean time. Once the sensor arrived all I had to do was switch the breaker off, test to ensure no power was going through, then twist the sensor wires on. The green and bare wire twist to ground, and the black wires twist one to the light and the other to the live line. The installation of everything else took maybe 30 minutes, and the switch itself, maybe 5 min (including the time it took to remove the old one. SETTINGS AND USAGE Once installed, there are several settings you can choose from which are explained thoroughly in the video on Amazon's product page. One setting is for manual on/off, one is for occupancy mode which turns light on when motion is detected and off when no motion is detected for a give time (can also be set to stay off if light is detected), and the last mode is vacancy mode in which you turn the light on manually and it turns off when no motion is detected for a given time. You can also set the duration that no motion is detected before switch turns off: default time is 5 minutes, there is also a setting for 1 minute, 15 minutes, or 30 minutes. There is also a test mode that has a timeout of 15 seconds but only lasts 5 minutes at a time. Since I use it in a laundry closet, I set it to a 1 minute timeout which works out great. It is very simple to set the timeout, you do this by holding the main button and releasing after a certain amount of flashes from the motion sensor. Since the default mode is occupancy mode, I didn't have to change this (although I tested the others), but it is simple to change, all you have to do is remove the face plate and hold the main button and release after a certain number of flashes of the motion sensor. I didn't need the light sensing setting because there is never enough light in my closet to find things. FINAL THOUGHTS The Lutron occupancy sensor works well with my recessed LED light and does exactly as it says it does. Since the laundry closet door blocks the natural light, I need the sensor to turn the light on whenever I open the doors and it does this. It then turns off the light after 1 minute, so when my hands are full with the laundry basket, I can just bump the door with my hip to close it and viola. It is fantastic and it's exactly what I wanted. Although I don't need more time for the timeout, I have good options. Most likely I won't use the manual, vacancy, or light sensing modes, it's nice to have the option for the future. I fully recommend this product if you want a method of turning your lights off and on when you enter or leave a room. For me it doesn't have the full 180 degree line-of-sight because it is being blocked partially by a drawer, but it works great even so.

Great in bathroom used by kids
The media could not be loaded. Needed for our main level bathroom that is regularly used by kids, who always forget to turn off the light. Sensitivity is great with a few options to customize. Only gripe is that it doesn’t come with a faceplate. Happened to have some extra from previous projects, so it wasn’t a big deal. Does not require a neutral wire, but has the wire if needed. Grounded to interior of box. Overall, easy install and works well

Does exactly what it says it does
The only thing I don’t like is if you are in the shower. It doesn’t see movement and shuts off. It would be nice to have a button or switch that you can change back and forth. So the light will stay one when showering

Annoying click to hear when it activates, otherwise works fine.
Sleek look, functions as intended. Required a black unit, and this was the only one I could find. Pros: works well, looks good Cons: the white sensor panel is glaring against the black switch, doesn’t come with a switch plate, has an annoying ‘CLICK’ every time it activates. All my other motion switches are silent, as they should be. I really hate the Click. Programming instructions are a bit odd and vague too.

Easy to install. Work great.
Easy to install. Work great. Lights go on instantly with no noticeable delay after walking into view of the sensor. For one switch I put a small piece of black tape over one edge of the sensor so the switch does not activate when I pass by the edge of its view. This works well so it is possible to customize the sensor's view. I am also pleased that I can set the switch to not activate when there is enough light already (i.e. sunlight), and I can train switch to set the light threshold at which the switch turns on. I set the switches so that they don't turn on when there is enough sunlight. I also set one switch so that it turns off within 5 minutes of it sensing no motion, but another so it stays on for half an hour after sensing no motion because it is a location where I sometimes move out of the sensor view. These feel like they are mostly plastic and a bit flimsy but once installed they feel fairly similar to low cost decora switches. Now that the switches are programmed and trained I don't tap them very often (less than once a week) so I have no concern about durability. I mounted one upside down (semi-circular sensor on the top) to look over furniture and it works fine. Note that these switches require connection to live, neutral and ground. They will not work with old 2-wire wiring that does not include ground.
