Nice GPS but directions are lacking

I got this GPS and headed out to the course to try it after charging it up. I took the included "quick start" pamphlet with me so I was sure there were no issues. Well that wasn't the case. It was easy to power on and the buttons, unlike others have said, were easy to use too. But, I wanted to use the scorecard so I referred to the "quick start" info. I followed the instructions but I could not get it to work. I told myself that the GPS was defective and used my phone for scoring. When I was done, I decided to look further into the issue. I found that the "quick start" info neglects to tell you that in the settings tab there is an option to "toggle" on/off the option of the scorecard. If it's not on, then you can't toggle to the scorecard. Hopefully it will work for my next round. My round took about 3 hrs and I used 15% of the battery. I used the magnet to mount it to the cart and on a very bumpy cart path, it never moved. I'm happy with it, especially now that I have scorecard working, but that's the reason for 4 stars.

Shuts down during play

I purchased my Swami 6000 (2nd unit for me) in Dec 2022. On 3 occasions the new Swami has shut down during a round of golf. It was as if the battery was dead. It was on briefly to set up for play, then shut down and would not come back on. When I got back home and plugged in the charger, it showed nearly 100% charge. Second problem is that our club has 3 9-hole courses and the Swami 6000 does not automatically switch from one course to the next. I have to fumble around with it while partners wait for me to get it synched. Their units automatically switch to the next course but not the Swami. Otherwise, a nice product.

Great Little Device

I had always just used an app in my phone for GPS distances but it always ran my battery down. Decided to by a true golf gps unit and this little guy did not disappoint. Distance is very accurate and easy to read. Connects to satellites quickly and I have not found a golf course yet that is not included. Best feature is the strong internal magnet that attaches right to the cart and stays put. Would recommend all day long.

Charging problem

Good product that is hand held. I would prefer if the device had a magnet. Charging is also a bit of a problem (gives erratic % charged readings during charge). The device also locks up once in a while, but that can be remedied by hard booting.

Can easily see numbers on it

The numbers are easy to see. Can adjust to front, middle or back of green. Small size so easy to carry. Battery life seems good. Charges quickly. Same accuracy as my Golf Buddy (that I plan on replacing with the Swami), except for many be one or two holes which it did adjust itself to in a few minutes. Bought the cup holder, case and screen protectors.

Product is as described. I had an older version which I liked. This one is an upgrade. I like the built in magnet to fasten it easily on the golf cart.

Not great

All a bit meh. Power button very stiff. Courses take a long time to load. I've used it twice. We cut out some holes in the first round and that completely confused it. So you would have to manually select the hole, which I suppose is fair enough. The second use though was rather disappointing. I played a course near Edinburgh, Baberton, whose layout was changed several years ago. The device was still using the old layout and the new first hole, a short par four, showed a distance of 600+ yards. I toggled between holes and finally got in sync, but it got confused again later in the round. That all said, I just wanted a small device, but with a screen clear enough for my getting poorer eyesight, and it fulfils this requirement and works perfectly when it is on the correct hole.

Accurate distances and easy display

It is an easy to use product with a clear display for those who prefer a handheld option to a watch. Does 2 rounds before needing a charge and is charged with a USB . Picks up Satellite pretty quickly.
