Great for My Deck Pond
The filter was easy to install. The UV bulb was not working but Amazon product support quickly resolved the issue and credited my account for cost of new UV bulb. Way easier then returning the filter. Update: The new UV bulb did not resolve the problem. Amazon sent out a new filter and everything is working as expected now.

Its OK For The Price But...
The UV light was not working upon arrival so I ordered another bulb. I read that this is a common thing with this unit. For the money I was ok with that. Unit does a good job of cleaning the water. In less than a few hours I could see the difference in the water. My peeve is that the lid gasket often slides out of place when taking the lid on and off which is a pain to get back on. Summary: It works well but with some minor exceptions; its about $70 cheaper than everything else but one or two maintenance details might drive you batty!

i considered buying a much more expensive filter, but even those dont seem to last. This filter is the easiest to clean out of any of the previous ones I've owned. Works well, and keeps the 1000 gallon pond nice and clean. I will be happy if I get a year out of it, anything more than that is a bonus. update: 4-3-2023 still working after 2+ years, i decided to just buy a whole new unit instead of replacing the filter on this old one. the UV light doesnt do much on this unit, and my handle broke off, making it a challenge to clean the filters. at this price point, I am thrilled I got 2 years out of it. Buying another one, and hope I get 2 years out of it as well. Runs 24x7x365

UV not controlling algae, stop working the first month.
The media could not be loaded. Every since I brought this filer I have had major trouble with sealing the top to the filer housing. It seems every time I would back wash filer, then switch back to filter the top would leak. The UV never worked. I have tried sealing NEW O-RING, adding sealers off all kinds of material. This week for 3 days tried everything, even using tie down straps to help hold down the top. Failed! They have four hold down hinges made of molded plastic. I found all 4 had cracks at point that holds down the top. If this company wanted to fix the problem they could install 4 more hold down hinges.

Not New Product
Ordered this product as new and the product I received was a return. The bio balls were missing and the hose connectors were already cut for a 1-inch hose. Fortunately I am using a 1-inch hose for my filter setup. Regarding the rest of the system I have hooked it up and it appears to work as advertised. I would have rated the system higher if I received a new product as purchased.

Very good product. Be sure to add fine media.
Very good product for the money. UV worked fine, all seals were included and prelubed. I ran it for over a week and saw slow results, but my pond was like a lake; brown green water. The one thing that you can do to make this filter truly kick but, is too order fine filter media and add to the unit. After adding fine media, my water went crystal clear. (I cut the thick course filter in half, and replaced that with fine media at the top. *If you do this, be sure to clean the filter more often till it goes clear, then you can let up on it)

The media could not be loaded. Si limpia,pero la verdad se necesita uno que tenga varios medio de filtración y no solo una esponja,la verdad.....no cumplió mis expectativas
