Worked perfect
Used the twist wire for areas dog has access to. Works perfect.

Works but with limitations
We had to return this after finding out our fence line was too narrow on one of the sides. Not a fan of having to cut into concrete to hide the wire. Read a lot of reviews about the frequency of lightning strikes or lightning taking out the transmitter. Switched to the wireless unit instead.

DIY not too hard
This was my first invisible fence and it's worked great for our 95 lb Akita. I set up particular sections of our 6' high fence with the invisible fence to prevent our dog from "fence fighting" (barking) with the neighbor dogs. It also helps keep our dog out of my wife's flower garden. I like the ability to dial in the boundary, more and less. The shock collar works about half the time on our Akita. Her fur is thick and often the probes don't seem to touch her skin even if the collar is tight. On the other hand the audible signal from the collar is all she needs to understand the boundary. She's smart enough, and sensitive enough, that she learned quickly and we don't use a high setting. Setting it up is not hard. Wiring back to the house and getting everything tidy takes some time. I didn't have to dig much since the wire was stapled to our fence - both on the top rail and then looping back on the bottom rail, about 5' apart.

Learn from my mistake(s)
This review deals less with the physical product than what I come to learn about installation that I feel was unclear or not emphasized enough. Like a few other reviewers, I noticed the twisted wire was still sending a correction signal so I did some research on what I could have done wrong. I see PetSafe respond to some of those reviews that the connection may be done incorrectly or "the layout does not work with the specifics of the system." I don't know why this isn't emphasized better earlier in the product sales ("read your in-ground fence Manual for instructions" isn't helpful when you get it as part of a kit) and then the layout instructions: my understanding now is that there must be two single boundary wires connecting to the braided wire, i.e. a double loop system. Apparently the braided wire cannot be spliced to the single wire to achieve the signal cancellation which totally changes my layout (if not makes it impossible without 500' more single wire). I thought I had a signal strength issue and the boundary wire was overlapping the front door boundary and it would be fixed when I turned it down...so I buried the wire. That's mistake #2 - don't bury until everything is working 100% as intended!

Great quality
Bought this to replace a self-twisted line that we relocated. It arrived quickly, is of good quality and was easy to work with. Have had it installed for a month now and appears that it will be quite durable.

Saves so much time
Easy to lay and splice. We spliced it with another twisted wire and then single wire. Love thy it comes with the waterproof covers. Saves time by not twisting your own.

Way less aggravation
Worth every penny to not have to twist the wire yourself! Big time and aggravation saver
